This is a stark reminder of the old saying about “tomorrow is promised to no one.” It is also too much to ask for a modicum of decency and reverence to be displayed in this situation but the “usual suspects” are already using this tragedy as a device to gain mileage for their own political agenda even before the deceased have been identified.

With my work I’m pretty well insulated from the news, but so far I haven’t seen any screaming from “the usual suspects” that this guy is a “right-wing extremist” (read: “Christian”) who was bent on destroying everything valuable to the left.

Leads me to believe that maybe someone did his/her homework and discovered the guy’s political views are extremist left (you know, like Dear Leader’s), or that he’s either Muslim or involved in some satanic cult (a la Jim Jones). Time will tell, but that’s what recent history has taught us, anyway.

@Carlos–I was referring to the gun control nuts like Michael Bloomberg; he saw fit to give super-sized drinks a rest. Also a commiecrat congresman from AZ chimed in on the same subject. They want gun control? Fine. The best starting point would be DOJ and Eric Holder. And don’t try to tell me what Obhammud’s thinly-veiled threats mean; I was born at night but it wasn’t last night.

My reference to “the usual suspects” wasn’t in reference to your comment, Drew, it was in reference to the Maddows and such of the media world, where anything bad that happens in the world has to be placed at the feet of Christianity until someone can prove otherwise, then the whole incident is swept under whatever rug is convenient and they go looking for another “Christian” atrocity.

On the contrary, I think your comment is pretty well spot-on.

And as far as Holder & Company ever being held responsible for F&F? It ain’t gonna happen. If his puppetmaster is re-elected (a real possibility, since they can control up to at least 10% of the total vote with the cemetery, criminal alien and homeless vote) then the whole issue will simply disappear, and if Mittens is elected the Repubs don’t have the stomach to go after criminals the way jackasses go after even decent folk, let alone criminals.

Carlos, you ought to know better than to underestimate the far left. Within hours of the shooting, leftists on Twitter were blaming Rush Limbaugh and the right for what happened in Aurora, and Brian Ross at ABC irresponsibly announced on air that there was a guy with the suspect’s name in the Colorado Tea Party. Turns out it wasn’t the same guy.

The hard left never lets “opportunities” like this go to waste, unfortunately.

I understand that, ST. I was just a little surprised that by the time I was able to pay a little bit of attention headlines from the NYT to the Podunk Piddler weren’t screaming that some terrorist Christian was responsible for the shootings.

According to them, you know, terrorist Christians usually are. We are all so evil and full of hate and have to use our arsenals somehow, don’t we? What a waste if we had all those guns and ammunition just for sport or protection!
