Man-of-the-people President to celebrate Labor his way

Because nothing says “fighting for the middle class” more than headlining a fundraiser where a single plate costs more than many people make in a year:

President Obama will travel to Los Angeles on Sept. 9 to recognize organized labor.

Obama will appear at the AFL-CIO convention, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka told reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast Thursday.

That night the president will also appear at a $32,400 per plate Hollywood fundraiser held at the home of Marta Kauffman, the co-creator of the sitcom “Friends,” according to an invitation obtained by the Sunlight Foundation.

The White House is billing the appearance at the labor convention as the latest in the president’s summer-long middle class economic tour, according to the Los Angeles Times.

I bet the servers at this shindig will feel real honored by all the attention, as they’re passing out plates of surf-and-turf to Hollywood stars, Democratic pols, and union bosses.

The Democratic Party has come a long way since Jackson’s day.

I find it especially insulting that the administration can reward government employees with benefits, bonuses, etc. and a terrific health care system–that we don’t get–all on our money, our tax dollars–but the end result is there people will vote for more socialism. Federal employees get better wages now.. and better benefits.. and bonuses.. and rewarded to targeting American tax payers.

  2. The number of employees on the federal payroll total more than the population of 24 different states. The three richest counties in the US are those surrounding DC, where federal employees live and from which they commute. One does not have to be a complete gripe-ass to see something is wrong with this picture.

    Taxes and licensing extra?

Send this to your Congress Critters about Syria and Benghazi. Please SHARE:

This is simple, before any authorization VOTE, President Obama must fully explain in writing where he was the night of Benghazi, and what was going on at the mission there. It appears Benghazi and Syria are joined at the hip issues. Anything less than that, no vote will be taken, or a vote of “NO” if taken. (Can this message be sent to the Appropriate Chair on Benghazi and/or the Syrian Attack Authorization)

So now all those hyper-liberal Hollywood anti-war hypocrites can sit around and hobnob in high society with their favorite progressive narcissist, war-mongerer and chief scandal king, Barry The Liar.

Maybe it’s me, but it’s starting to look like our drones are operating in the wrong theatre.
