"Obamacare has arrived"

“Obamacare has arrived”

Jim Geraghty brings us more debris samples from the flaming wreckage that is Obamacare. You can read them for yourself, but here’s one of the best:

But perhaps Maryland’s mess looks good compared to Oregon, where the accusations of lying are piling up:

Carolyn Lawson, the IT expert who tried and failed to build Oregon’s online insurance exchange, complained to an Oregon Health Authority official that she was forced to leave under false pretenses in an email uncovered by the On Your Side Investigators.

Lawson emailed OHA chief operating officer Suzanne Hoffman in January to complain that a reporter had been given her personal cell phone number, and asked that the state “allow me to move on with privacy and grace,” after one of the worst health-care-exchange website launches in the nation left her career in tatters.??“I have done everything I have been asked to do,” Lawson wrote. “I stuck to the talking points even though I protested . . . that they were not accurate. I walked away quietly when asked to resign. I wrote the resignation letter per the script I was given.”??

KATU Investigators recently uncovered major accountability issues on Lawson’s watch, and former Republican state representative Patrick Sheehan told KATU earlier this month that he’d gone to the FBI with allegations Cover Oregon project managers initiated the design of dummy web pages to convince the federal government the project was further along than it actually was.

Why do I have a feeling this one is going to end up in court, with Lawson (and probably several others) pleading to turn state’s evidence in return for a deal? Is it perhaps because a bill passed in a corrupt (1) manner can only leave corruption in its wake?

Excellent job, Democrats! You’ve earned every bit of what the public is going to give you in November.

(1) Ethically, if not legally.

Yep. Any state run by a guvner with the nickname “Dr. Death” can’t be in the running for the best- run, but Oregon is certainly in the running for least beneficial for all it’s citizens (not just the privileged few and guvmint welfare workers).

Every day we learn of a new Obamacare problem. Unfortunately, the worse of Obamacare is still to come.

The Democrats fully deserve all that is coming their way. We must do everything we can do to get every Democrat who voted for Obamacare voted out of Office. They have already told us too many lies about Obamacare.

  3. Carlos says:

Unfortunately, JoyO, the majority of Obama voters are still too stupid or too embarrassed to admit he is the biggest mistake this country ever made (even beats Jimmuh by a country mile!), and they will continue to vote my pocketbook in the hopes that the next jackass will really, really take care of them like they say they will.

One would think that after nearly seventeen decades of solid b.s. and lies, even the voters in CA would wise up to being played fools, but I guess that’s only a hope in my dreams. They’ve been voting that way for so long they wouldn’t recognize the truth if it jumped up and bit them. Those are (scarily) true believers in free lunches.

This entire administration, beginning with Obhammud’s background of which we know little, has been predicated on a pack of lies. This is just another in his long unbroken string of failures.

I have been waiting for the testimonies of all the unemployed and uninsured where Obamacare was a true blessing, etc. You know if there were 10 people in the nation they would all be celebrities right now. The fact that there is no such push is the true measure of the ACA failure. Every conservative knew that the middle class insurance premiums would increase dramatically (most wealthy people already paid good money for good policies) to pay for the previously under insured and uninsured. The only way Dems can show their faces at the mid-terms is if there is some group that benefits from the ACA that can be made high profile to say “See, it is working for the target people and don’t we have any compassion, blah, yada, yada, blah.”

  6. Carlos says:

And now filthy Harry is saying the vast majority of horror stories about losing insurance, getting triple-the-previous premiums, etc., are nothing but a pack of lies promoted by Repubs.

Like he’s the most honest purveyor of accounts in the world? He’s so dishonest even most thieves (save our lord and savior in the WH and his minions) won’t have anything to do with him.
