This is shaping up to be a replay of the 1880s in-house feud between the Stalwart Republicans and the “Half-Breeds”. Today’s version of Stalwarts will be traditional conservatives, the TEA Party, and Libertarians. The Half-Breeds will be the jelly-spined RINOs such as McConnel, Boehner, McCain, Ayotte, Kantor, and Graham.

RINOs give themselves away. They are the quickest to practice their snarky manners on Cruz, Rubio, Paul Ryan, and Rand Paul. It is the old principle of those in the most danger squealing the loudest.

By “we”, am I correct to assume you mean citizens of the USSA? And you think there’s any reason to believe that the coming January will be any different from recent January’s?

Why don’t you hammer out a hypothetical best-case scenario where VOTING for the “right guys” this time reverses the irreversible slide into absolute tyranny, in favor of Jefferson’s Rightful Liberty?

Let’s distance ourselves from the cancerous delusion that politicians are leaders for anything but their own nefarious ends. If you’re following someone that isn’t shooting tyrants, you’re going the wrong way.

Great in theory but KY isn’t red. Dems outnumber Repubs by 53%-38% [bigger margin in the past] and the state guv is overwhelmingly Dem, with a weak state GOP. The Dem who lost to Rand Paul is lib who will prob be our guv in 2016.

The big KY MSM are libs who hate Mitch, who has better conserv creds than he often gets credit for.

His primary oppo is Tea Party fave but weak. If McConnell loses in Nov, we’ll have Alison Grimes, whose dad was state Dem head and won Bill Clinton 2 prez runs here. Grimes is strongly backed by Clinton, who will use her to push Hillary.

A Christine O’Donnell loss won’t help us here. BTW Mike Castle, who lost GOP primary to O’Donnell, was one of Mitch’s best friends. KY could do lot worse than Mitch.

Yes, and I suppose CA could do some worse than the cabal of Pelousy, Babs and DiFi. The fact they could do worse is no reason to keep what’s bad to begin with, unless it comes down to voting for the lesser of two evils. But evil is still evil.

BTW, in Mitch’s case the solution right now is probably to remove him from leadership, and give time for KY to find a viable conservative. But to remove him from leadership will be very tough because he is, if not a consummate politician, still a pretty good one (acknowledging that “politician” is a derogatory term).
