At least it’s not his own that he’s offering
:
Republicans say filmmaker Michael Moore should be prosecuted for offering underwear, potato chips and Ramen noodles to college students in exchange for their promise to vote.
The Michigan Republican Party has asked four county prosecutors to file charges against Moore, charging that his get-out-the-vote stunt amounts to bribery.
“We want everyone to participate in this year’s election, but not because they were bribed or coerced by the likes of Michael Moore” said Greg McNeilly, executive director of the state Republican Party.
Moore, a Michigan native, is touring the country and imploring “slackers” who usually don’t vote to head to the polls this year, saying they could make the difference in the presidential race. Moore has made stops at three Michigan universities as part of a 60-city pre-election tour.
During each program, habitual nonvoters are invited on stage to pledge to vote. First-time student voters are offered gag prizes such as clean underwear.
The GOP said Moore also offered students a clean dorm room, a year’s supply of Tostitos and a package of Ramen noodles.
Isn’t that just SPESHIAL?

Just in case you missed it here was the response to that request

Ah. So he’s off the hook yet again.
Your response implies that Michael Moore was actually guilty of something and had gotten away with it.
Perhaps you should take a look at the reaction from two republican prosecutors to give this issue some perspective (taken from the AP article):
“The harshest reaction came from the two Republican prosecutors, Antrim County’s Charles Koop and Isabella County’s Larry Burdick. “Alleging that a person is attempting to buy votes is a serious allegation, and one that is taken seriously by this office. However, your request to prosecute Mr. Moore trivializes the intent of this section of the election code,” Koop said Thursday in a letter to Greg McNeilly, executive director of the state Republican Party. Burdick said he chooses “to devote our resources to prosecuting those who are delivering cocaine to our young people rather than underwear.”
I make no pretense of objectivity when it comes to Moore. Sorry, Kathy.
