Yay! Ohio was officially given to Bush and with that, he officially wins the re-election.
Stacy, I can’t believe it – it’s over!!
GO W!
I am so relieved it’s over! I’m even more relieved that GW and Dick will lead us another four years.
Me too, UG … me too.
It’s a beautiful day, but are the libs crying. Listened, for giggles, to air america, would had thought the end if the world had arrived. Congrats to Bush/Cheney job well done.
Great day indeed. I almost feel like I’m dreaming.
It’s all ok people. I work in a department with 6 people. The guy I work directly with was talking to the receptionist this morning when I walked in…what I heard was, “you mean we have to put up with this guy for 4 more years?”….As I opened the door, I said, “you do indeed…God and Ohio willing”. Understand that in the capital city of California, many refuse to believe Gray Davis is no longer around…denial o’ plenty. Socialist ideology reigns supreme here, so no surprises…just pale disbelief by my co-workers….and a big smile here
)
Kerry’s speech just started…listen in!!!
Listening here…”change America”…I hope the Democrats realize after not just the Presidental Election, but the state initiatives, that THEY need to change and reach out…they are out of touch and last night proved it.
Perhaps you need to bring a six pack with ya to work tomorrow to help everyone get through the day, Charlie
Take a deep breath, relax a little, and then let’s get back to work. There’re still Liberals trying to control our country, and in four years, they’ll try again.
I’m not sure a six pack of Jack Daniels would calm down the rhetoric after today. By the way…CavalierX is correct…the Dems are working already….we must also. Remember that the Left sees thier “progressive vision” as something to impose on America; in other words WE need to reach out and change. They still don’t “get it” even viewing all the RED on the map today.
It’s unfortunate that Edwards couldn’t resist yet another recitation of the LOSING Democratic talking points. His condescending and patently false “populism” is more grating with each repetition. I think he’s done, and won’t be a factor in 2008. Kerry’s speech was gracious – though I have to admit that I don’t believe a word of it, coming from him. Unfortunately, (or fortunately, considering the election’s outcome), it became quite clear during the course of the campaign that nothing this man says can be taken at face value. His “nobility” is as likely to be yet another calculated instance of pandering as it is to be a moment of sincerity. Has everyone noticed that every time Democrats lose an election, they call for “healing”, and assert that the winning Republican, (and winning Republicans generally win because they are Conservatives), must now “govern from the center”. Both code speak, of course; they really mean that if the President actually attempts to govern on the policies and values on which he triumphed, they’ll once again resort to obstructionist parliamentary maneuvering throughout his second term. It’s high time President Bush called their bluff, took his case directly to the American people, and showed these angry Liberal Dems for the phonies they have always been.
