Ward Churchill confronted

The America-hating University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill (seen here doing his best Lou Reed impersonation), a man who proclaimed in a post 9-11 essay that some World Trade Center victims were “little Eichmanns” as well as praised the “gallant sacrifices” of the 9-11 terrorists, was confronted yesterday by members of the University of Colorado Republicans outside of his classroom:

BOULDER, Colo. — Members of the College Republicans held a banner listing the names of people killed in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks outside University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill’s classroom Wednesday.

They wanted Churchill, who has said some of the victims were not innocent, to mark the names of each person he believes deserved to die in the attacks. Jeff O’Holleran of the College Republicans said students would stage the protest each Wednesday until the end of the semester.

“We’re just basically trying to call him out on what he said,” O’Holleran said.

World Net Daily has a more in-depth report:

According to College Republicans Chairman Ian VanBuskirk, about 25 protesters gathered outside a classroom where Churchill was teaching.

Noting that Churchill’s “little Eichmanns” explanation did not include an exception for cops or employees of financial firms working in the Twin Towers, VanBuskirk wanted Churchill “to tell us if it was the policemen or the financiers” who deserved to die.

[…]

The protest organizer said Churchill then came out into the hallway to get the guest speaker and that he “took a swipe at” a video camera that was recording the event.

VanBuskirk said several students came out of the class and yelled at the protesters, one of whom was reportedly led away after destroying some of the demonstrators’ literature.

See photos of the CU Republicans protesting here – also posted at that link is a photo of an obvious example of a student who has been ‘educated’ by Churchill to hate his country.

Hats off to the CU Republicans for taking a stand against this fake-Indian, blame-America first’r. The University of Colorado ruling elite might have seen fit to keep him on staff (thus assuring that students for years to come will be subjected to his anti-west tirades) but that doesn’t mean his stay has to be a comfortable one.
