Sister Toldjah!

Story here.

What is going on? Anyone able to catch news updates via television or radio??

Update: vbspurs is liveblogging the news on this (hat tip: Michelle Malkin)

More via Macsmind

Unofficial reports claim that one person is dead.

Update II: The person claiming to have had the bomb is indeed dead. The air marshal in this instance did the right thing. Let’s hope we don’t start seeing the usual suspects call for an ‘investigation’ into this to find out whether or not the air marshal erred when all the man was doing was his job.

I blame Al . . . no . . . Jeff . . . Jeff Goldstein and his rabid armadillo. I suspect his monkey but it’s not Friday. Only almost Friday, so the monkey probably skates on this one.

  1. Hey Sister, i’m afraid it’s only a matter of time before the “usual suspects” you mention start questioning the marshal’s judgement. That’s standard operating procedure:

Re-evaluate the actions and decisions a single person had to make in seconds under enormously stressful circumstances where hundreds of lives are potentially at stake.

When possible, do so in as condescending a manner from cushy TV studios hundreds or thousands of miles removed from the incident itself.

The air marshal did his job, and I’m sure he feels terrible that he had to take a life in doing so. I sincerely hope that the armchair quarterbacking is kept to a minimum, but based on past behavior of some of the clowns littering cable news channels, I have low expectations.

  2. Great post, Alex! I’m bracing myself for the tidal wave of criticisms from the usual suspects. Hopefully I’m wrong about this when it’s all said and done.

  3. Thanks! Personally, I hope we’re both wrong, too. We can’t ask people to protect us and then malign them when they do exactly that.

  4. Where’s the ACLU lawsuit being filed? where are Chuck Schumer’s calls for disarming the Air Marshalls?

  5. I think this is the way Democrats would handle things as this Metro-North Conductor did. (Commuter railroad that takes people to and from NYC and Northern NY State and Northern CT.

  6. Thanks, Sister Toldjah, for linking to my love-blog post on the MIA shooting!

It’s been getting a lot of mileage around Blogosphere, and I may well be on top of breaking local news events, more often, since there seems to be an interest.

And I see my old, old buddy Alex Nunez here. Heya! ;)

    Cheers,
    Victoria

  8. Aw c’mon PCD how do you know what polictical beliefs some lazy civil servant has? I think your hatred of the democratic party is blinding your objectivity

  9. tommy, maybe you get your head out of the Democrat quicksand. Take a survey of “civil servants” as to their political affiliation. Just a simple question, “What party do you belong to?” You don’t have to push poll it like so many Lefties do.

You know tommy, you never can prove we Democrats don’t do that to any thing I’ve posted. Maybe you ought to look at your party closer and objectively for once.
