Going to see U2 tonight

    Wow. They’re still alive? :) I saw U2 twice, 20 and 21 years ago (5 December 1984, in fact, was the first time I saw them). It’s a shame they can’t play small arenas anymore (that time in 1984 was a 2000-seater, instead of the 15- or 16,000 seater I saw them in the next year). They were great in a small venue, but kind of washed-out in a larger one. I hope you’ll give us a review!

    I’ll definitely give my review, LC :)

    The Bobcats arena seats 17,000 – I was surprised to find that out because our older (built in the early 90’s, I believe) Coliseum seated 24,000 and this new arena was built supposedly to take its place. I do not understand why they would downsize from 24K to 17K. Not to mention that our older Coliseum is beautiful and still in good condition.
