Via the AP: Sharpton ‘Not Interested’ In Sitcom Role
The man is a walking sitcom on his own, sometimes funny and often very stupid. He doesn’t need a sitcom to make people laugh, scream, and/or cry.

I don’t care for Al Sharpton at all but the debates by Democratic candidates for President would have been real snoozers without him. At least he’s usually entertaining. If becoming president depended on who did best during a debate the choice would be between Sharpton and Keyes. You’re right about him being a walking situation comedy–and as usual situation comedies depend on someone in them being very stupid.
He makes a mokery of politics, therefore I thought the sitcom was perfect
