It is worth noting that education is the last bastion in which the left-leaning collectivists still have a firm foothold. In the last 10 years the lefts hold on the collective american conscious has steadilied declined. Where one the left held a de-facto monopoly on information, that monopoly has been dismantled by talk radio and the internet. It is imperative if parents wish to gain their rightful position in rearing their children that the clutches of the collectivists be curtailed. John Dewy (famous for the dewy decimal system used to catalog books in libraries) was an early supporter for public education. And at that time he was quoted as saying that ‘the purpose of public education is to prepare children for service to the state’. Now I ask you, who does that sound like?
    Just some food for thought.
