The Nazi’s did this and they got the idea from Muslims. They are headed down the path….
G’tmo suicide attempts story
No Bak, “They are [be]headed down the path…”
Bak: Take away the scripts, fans and lights. I’m pretty sure our troops don’t have the luxury of fans, while going about their daily duties in the desert. No more torturous fans at club gitmo.
No more prescription medication either. One of them tried by stockpiling prescription medication and then taking a bunch at once.
Whew! We saved him.
I guess we better be careful since the scripts are free, socialized meds can’t be far off. This should tickle the libtards greatly. Maybe they’ll want to open up a few more clubs, then we can really get the ball rollin’! The socialist ball-resvp, PTUH
Did anyone read the last NRO review of what my retired colonel friend refers to as VD Hanson? Victor Davis Hanson, Hoover Institute I think, has wisdom beyond his years. Linkers who got da skilz, put one in the tube and FFE.
Just got this in an e-mail:
My mailbox is being flooded with mail concerning gas prices and illegal immigrants. To boycott oil companies or not; to provide amnesty to illegal immigrants or not, etc.
Since I have become jaded to the various solutions proposed by the Republicans, Democrats, Sierra Club, ACLU, etc. I have elected to solve the problems as they affect me. It solves both my gas and illegal immigrant problems.
I have hired illegal immigrants to push my car. They’re plentiful and cheaper than buying gas.
Forest, click on the Hugh Hewitt link on the side bar. Hugh weekly has Hanson on his syndicated radio show, and quotes him in his blog. Also, RadioBlogger will post transcripts from time to time from V. D. Hanson’s visit to the show.
BTW. For those who are compassionate (usually not liberals), removal of bilingual instruction out of CA classrooms has advanced the abilities of non-English speakers in the class. Immersion was key as Ron Unz used to believe.
Now I’m a believer because the facts are the facts. And these young adults will benefit greatly from that proposition. These young adults will have a more fruitful life with less dependancy.
That’s compassion.

Very true, as it often is, that by trying to “be nice” and coddle people, even if with the best of intentions, you usually wind up doing more harm than good.
My mother-in-law spoke no Engish when she started school in the 1st grade, she only spoke Czech. By the end of the 2nd grade she skipped a grade and was in advanced classes. I seriously doubt this would have happened if she’d been allowed to continue to speak Czech and English at the same time.
Yep. That is true compassion (the solution implemented having the best results).
Thanks PCD! I see a bright future for you and a gold sticker on your chart.
Sev, do you know if many Polish words are similar to Czech, like Pivo (pronounced peevo and I don’t know the right sp.) for example. It was the second word I learned from a Pole. The first was when I was in grade school looking down instead of where I was walking and I ran headlong into a support pipe that held the steam lines which ran from one old building to another. DONG was the first word. My teacher didn’t care much for my verbal tirade, though she grinned as she steadied me atop my wobbly legs.
Forest, not sure, but I’d imagine there are some similarities. My mother-in-law lives in another state or I’d ring her up and ask her, though she doesn’t remember any Czech to speak of, her conversion was complete (too bad), and that was a long time ago (she’s approaching 80 now).
Wish I knew more about the Central European languages.

- Democratic Leader Harry Reid today voted against naming English as the official language of America, as a part of the ongoing immigration packages being voted on in congress at the moment, calling it “a brand of racism”.
- With the backdrop of 90+ Americans favoring English as our National language, the left and its leadership has now moved so far away from mainstream America it feels compeled to “brand” 90% of Americans racist.
- I’m guessing things like this are some sort of Liberal secret game plan to curry the favor of the elctorate and absolutely cement votes at the ballot box. Or not.

Oh. it was just about ‘naming’? that’s pretty tame.
Ol’Harry Reid should know racism when he sees it, it is after all a Democratic specialty.
-Yes andrew. If a Liberal does or says anything we always must apply “nuance”. Anyone else says something vapid, the words mean what they mean. A Democrat says something, we have to shift things around to put a better spin on them.
- What he said was stupid, and he does these things in front of the entire country. But of course no worse than Pelosi, or Dean, or Schumer.
