I can’t imagine why Rush would have wanted to keep a Viagra prescription out of the public eye

Can you figure it out? I’m at a loss to explain …

Seriously, here’s how he handled the big (no pun intended) story on today’s show (audio here).

James Joyner has posted the plea agreement documents.

Question that needs to be answered: is it ok for doctors to issue prescriptions in their name, rather than that of the person who will actually be taking the medication, for ‘privacy’ purposes? Limbaugh’s attorney seems to be saying “yes” here (scroll), but seeing as he’s Rush’s attorney, that has to be taken with a grain of salt.

PM Update I: A possible answer for the above:

It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party’s name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly, said Mike Edmondson, a spokesman for the state attorney in Palm Beach County. He would not discuss specifics in the Limbaugh case Tuesday.

Stay tuned …

    “it’s not something you can be addicted to” said DEA Investigator Maria Gilbert.

    Some women would disagree I’m sure.. :-":d

  2. LOL! You’re quite the mischievious one today, Bak! =p~

  3. NC Cop says:

    Hey! There’s nothing wrong with Viagra, it works great!!

    I mean, I’ve heard it works great……from a friend…….who told me………that it worked great……gotta go.

  4. Severian says:

    I love the ads for Viagra. “If you experience an erection lasting for more than 4 hours, consult a doctor immediately.” Man, if I have an erection that lasts that long I’m bragging to everyone, not just a doctor! ;)

  5. benning says:

    What Rush uses is no one’s business. This is more MSM unseemliness.

    Frankly, This makes me angry. I’m so tired of this garbage being paraded as somehow important by the MSM. I know there’s some humor here, but it’s just more of the same from the same a$$hats.

  6. dc4bs says:

    Obviously, based on past experiance, he’d want to keep even so much as an over the counter purchase of asprin confidential.

    I would too. It’s noone elses buisness as long as he payes his own bills.

    Only when government sponsored healthcare pays for it, THEN it’everyonoe elses buisness as WE are paying for it.

  7. Lorica says:

    I find it odd how the MSM hardly says anything about sexual predators taking this, but if Rush is taking these pills it is a federal case. Who really cares what the MSM thinks these days. They have shown their bias, if a lib does it we are A OK, but if a conservative does it they start yakin’ about morality and so forth and so on. Blah, blah, blah. Next non story please, this one is already a day old. – Lorica

  8. Sev: LOL. You mean four hours isn’t the norm? ;)

    benning: I couldn’t agree more!

  9. Severian says:

    You mean four hours isn’t the norm?

    Now you’re just trying to make me feel inadequate…:((

  10. benning says:

    Yeah, sev! Jeepers! It’s not as though 3 hours is a failure, is it? Sheesh!

  11. – Ahem…I have no personal experience with this area of course… But its just a guess that if you suffered from Priasm, your lady would probably hide the phone….. :o

    – Bang **==

  12. You mean “priapism” Bang? I just had to look it up :)

  13. – Is that how it’s spelled ST…. Ok …. but I still think the lady would hide the phone…. At least for a few hours anyway….*chuckle*

    – Bang **==

  14. Marshall Art says:

    Whoever felt the need to publicize this is obviously without a shred of class.

    But it is funny.

  15. Severian says:

    After the Greek myth about Priapus…

  16. “…After the Greek myth about Priapus”

    The famous Greek philosopher who always “stood tall” on his principles….

    – Bang **==

    I agree with Benning that the MSM is way out of line the way they salivate over personal details from right-wing pundits. To be fair, we should be fed details of Nancy Pelosi’s push-up bra’s, or her choice of personal lubricant, or – wait – ummm – no, maybe I don’t…:-&
