Nothing good could come of a terrorist organization being elected by the Palestinians…
One can’t blame the Israelis for taking aggressive action here. Hamas operatives tunneled underground into Israel to attack the soldiers, kidnapping one. In any part of the world, this would be seen as an act of war – not to mention the 100 or so missiles that the Palestinians have been lobbing into Israel every day ever since the Israelis withdrew from the Gaza strip. I believe the Israelis have tried in every way to make peace with the Palestinians, agreeing to concessions with them for years in that attempt. It’s time they put Hamas’s back against the wall, if there is ever to be any peace. No more deals, no more concessions. The only thing Hamas understands is pure aggression, alpha dog style. These are ruthless people that must be dealt with in ruthless ways. I think the Israelis understand that, have given all they are willing to give, and are ready to defend themselves as if their survival as a nation depends on it.
