    Eh, in his defense, I’ve been to Story City. That’s about half the population right there in the pic.

    (/not serious).

    :d

    How much did he raise? Probably not enough to fill up the tank on his jet for the ride home.

    You know, going to a speech by Kerry would, I think, top even Douglas Adams’ description of the horrors of Vogon poetry for sheer nastiness. Can’t recall the planet or name of the poet worse than Vogon poetry, but as he launched into a rendition of “Ode to a lump of green putty I found under my armpit” his intestines, in a desperate attempt to save everyone, leapt up his throat and strangled him, to paraphrase Adams’. Would that Kerry’s intestines were so beneficent.8-|

    - sKerry’s definately on the Presidential run trail. Witness his appearence on FOX the other day, where the majority of his comments concerning the WOT and the Israeli/Hezbollah conflict could have been coming from Bush or Cheney. I almost fell off my chair listening to him call Hezbollah a terrorist org., and laying out almost to a T, everything that Bush and Condi are already doing. The only negative he mentioned is he thought the Bush administration has not been involved enough in the ME. At the end he admitted he’s thinking about running. Watching him get his brains beat out in the primaries should be high entertainment if he’s dumb enough to try it.

    - In keeping with Mau’s sentiments, we can be sure he’s only “not running, but that was before he was”.

    - Bang **==

    Actually, to be fair, there probably weren’t that many people there (if this was in the last day or so) because it’s been hot as sin here in Iowa. It’s been hitting around 100 for the last week or two, and I don’t know if you’ve ever experienced Iowa’s humidity, but take whatever the temperature is and add about 20 degrees to that. It gets hot, muggy, sticky, dry….you just can’t stand it, it just wilts you to the bone.

    Still….even if it was a cool 75 out, I don’t think he’d attract more than a couple of extras to this “lawn party” or whatever it’s supposed to be.

    Like I said earlier, I’ve been to Story City. If you’re on the highway going past and you blink…. you’ve missed it. It has a population of just over 3000 people.

    I wanted to go and hear him. They told me to look for the crowd.
