Blowing smoke: Reuters admits to altering Beirut photo

I don’t get it. With so many other legit images of smoke billowing from Beirut, why would anyone want to alter a photo of one? Unless they were trying to embellish what was happening, of course …

That is exactly what they were trying to do is embellish what was happening, make it look worse than it actually was.
The doctored photo makes it look as though smoke is rising from multiple places, supporting the Left’s accusations of indiscriminate bombing. Accusations made against Israel, of course… they never seem to get their panties in a bunch when terrorists randomly attack civilians on purpose.
Reuters need a top to bottom house cleaning. They have too many biased people masquerading as journalists to be a credible organization.

- Incidently for those of you wondering about the “why” for the doctoring, it’s a way to give the impression that Israel is not doing surgical strikes, but engaging in widespread “carpet” bombing. The Hezzi’z are trying eveything possible to hang onto the PR advantage. Apparently Reuters is all about helping them along. I think the Reuter editors are lying through their teeth.

I used to think so Lorica, but the Left has steadily proved me wrong. Kos should issue a memo telling his Komrad minions to knock off the cheerleading and equivacating for the enemy, or their side can do the bend over move in the next election cycles. Hopefull they’ll continue to not listen.
