Tweaking the blog

Posted by: ST on August 22, 2006 at 4:19 pm

I’m making a few minor changes into the look of the blog – nothing major, mainly font size changes and a few other minor things here and there. I decreased the font size for blogposts a few minutes ago. I think it was too big to begin with, though, as most other blogs have font sizes much smaller than mine were. At least this way, my posts won’t look as long as they sometimes can be ;) My eyes are getting adjusted to the font size now – hopefully it won’t be a problem for anyone else.

My number one suggestion would be to go to a full screen presentation (landscape orientation), like Patterico or Powerline. That gets rid of the grey dead space on both sides.

And you might like using the font “Georgia.” It is a modification of Times New Roman designed to be easier to read on a computer screen.

Hey, I’ve played with my presentation so many times that, while I’m certainly no expert, I do know the frustrations of hacking around it.

    Looks good, ST. :d

  4. Sister T,

Does look good! I am totally blind in one eye and pretty close to blind in the other ..

Font size is not a major problem as I can press the control key and roll the scroll wheel — this can enlarge the font sorta out of sight, up to humongous so to speak.

    Most folks should realize that.

    Keep up the great work!
