      I followed some of the links in this Iowa Voice post. I’m REALLY outraged. It was not just Ted Kennedy but other DEMOCRAT SENATORS working through Sen. Tunney, D-CA that were working with/for the KGB. Where is the coverage? Where is your patriotic outrage???

      - Some more “First-line defenders” give their all as Americans. (A fourth fire-fighter has died sadly. Looks like we’re in for another season of delightful burnoff. It’s just about the right length of time since the last inferno here in S. LaLa land. The Cal weeds have grown up to the roof eaves. Thry’re burried in 3 feet of snow in Colorado, while Cal burns.

      - Rep-tide turning? One reason that Pundits are not caving in to the attempts of the Left to stampede this Election – While the Reps are getting only 43% favorable, the Dems are showing a dismal 36%. Looks like a race to the least of two negatives. The really bad indicator, if it proves true, and we all know how well pollsters do, even when they’re not skewed, is the idea that the Dems “interest” level in voting out-does the Rep voters 73% to 60%.

      - Thats not what I’m finding locally in the field, so I have a feeling this is Dem wishful thinking, or mis-interpretation of some displeasure with Bush, translating into a no vote for the Reps. That’s kind of weak in my opinion, and doesn’t square with what people are telling me in person. We’ll see.

      - FOX is reporting that the fire Chief on the Scene in the Palm Springs fire in southern Cal, now encompassing over 6000 acres and spreading fast, driven by 40 mph winds with gusts to 60, is now being blamed on arson. With the deaths of 4 fire fighters just this far into the situation, that makes it murder for the culprit(s). That they were able to pin it down to that as the cause this fast, gives hope they will also find the sick person that would do this.

      Tomorrow, Salem, AKA Bob, the cat, will be taken to suffer a most heinous indignity. Whilst still a wee lad, he will be deprived of a bit of his manhood. As my lovely wife and daughter and I travel across our nation’s northernmost border into the foreign territory known as Wisconsin, young Bob will be convalescing with a tiny kitty icepack numbing the area of his purloined loins, groggily wondering what led him to this sorry episode. And at weekend’s close, will we find that Ballfree Bob holds a grudge? Will Salem become Salome? Men, keep Bob in your thoughts, and when you need to adjust, remember him.
