Brian at Iowa Voice will be blogging all day today about our wonderful, brave, courageous veterans – make sure to check out his blog throughout the day for postings honoring the men and women who put it all on the line for us, so we can enjoy the freedoms we do today.
God bless our veterans on this Veterans Day 2006 – you have our deepest gratitude.

I agree, this day should be all about our brave military …. thank you all so much for what you do for us.
Thank you ST! As a 22 year Air Force veteran, I feel honored.
More than ten years ago, the Trentonian ran a Mike Royko column about Veterans’s Day, which I promptly clipped and put on my office door. By day’s end I had to make copies for other veterans who read it. I still put that same column, yellowed with age now, up on the door this time of year. Had it up there yesterday.
So I wasn’t surprised when I did a Dogpile search and found it on the web. Blackfive posted it two years ago: Veterans should have today off. Enjoy!
