We really need this win today. This puts us tied for first in our division with New Orleans.
In not-so-great sports news, Eagles QB Donovan McNabb is out for the season following a knee injury he suffered in today’s game against the Titans (the Titans won 24-13). Green Bay QB Bret Favre was injured today as well (wrist). The Packers next game is next Monday against Seattle.
Update: Oops! Ted reminds me that Ohio State beat Michigan this weekend in college football – sorry, forgot to add that one to the list ![]()

Ahh, my take on Ohio State vs. Michigan.
Oops … sorry – forgot to mention that one!
Thanks for the luv, Sis!
Hey Hey Hey…what about USC V Cal?
Minnesota just completed the sweep of Wisconsin in college hockey.
This will keep the Gophers in the #1 spot going into the College Hockey Showcase where the two Big 10 WCHA teams (Minnesota and Wisconsin) take on two Big 10 CCHA teams (Michigan and Michigan State).
As one of the resident UM fans, congrats to y’all tedintheshed. It was a decent game, but not as good as everyone is saying. The Bucks were never in danger after going up 14-7. Everytime UM made a move, Smith responded. I for one do not believe in rematches and there is nothing on the earth that can get me to cheer for Satan over Southern Cal. It may sound warped, but I hate the Irish more than the Bucks.
As a side note though, Urban Meyer at Florida is already whining about the SEC being left out. He says that if UM goes instead of Florida/Arkansas winner, then there should be an immediate scrapping of the BCS for a playoff. I love to hear overrated SEC teams whine. Music to my ears. Maybe cheering the Irish… Nah, can’t do it.
Here’s hoping the Bucks beat whoever they play (unless it’s UM of course!).
Cubs close to landing Soriano
The question is: Has Soriano’s talent level diminished enough to make him a suitable fit for the Cubs? Normally, the Cubs trade their best players at the peak of their careers, and only shell out the big bucks for has-beens.
Cowboys hand Colts first loss of season
Pokes continue to extract revenge for losing 16-13 to the Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl V.
(I saw that one at the tender age of 9 years, and was psychologically scarred for life. Dave Manders recovered that fumble in the end zone in the 3rd quarter. And Mel Renfro never touched the ball tossed by Johnny Unitas to Eddie Hinton to John Mackey, thus nullifying an apparent 75-yard Colt TD.)
- Yes yes…thank kyew….thank kyew veddy much….I’d like to thank all the little people for this weekends triumps:
“Ohio State does it again, beating Michigan!!!!!”
…annnnnnnnd
- The Chargers come from down 17 points for the second week in a row, an NFL record, on the wheels of LaDainian Tomlinson, who scored 4 more touchdowns on his way to a record setting season….
- And congrats on the Cats game ST…..
- Bang

Ther SEC teams need to stop scheduling the “Little Sisters of the Blind” type teams if they want the rest of the country to take them seriously.
Ouch. From PackersNews.com i read that Farve injured the Ulna nerve from a hit on his “funny bone”. Aaron Rogers isn’t ready for the NFL yet. There goes the Pack this season.
Sister:
You are sooo dreamy! You’re smart, witty, conservative, you are a Thomas Sowell fan, you keep up with sports, and (from what little I’ve seen on you site) you are also easy on the eyes! Geez, I never thought that there was someone else out there like my beautiful wife.
Godspeed
Joe
