Been gone most of the afternoon and all evening, and am just now getting home and getting settled in for the night. Consider this an open thread. I’ll check back in to blog in a few hours once I’ve had a good night’s sleep.

…I’m still in the workplace.
(For a couple more hours…)
Out of 356 votes for you, five of them are mine (1.4% of the total, certainly enough to win the coveted Sister Toldjah coffee mug) — but the rest of your readers are falling down on the job!
Readers: our beautiful blogmistress is in fifth place! What are y’all going to do about that?
But we don’t have an illegal immigration problem….
40 Percent.
So this company in essence is admitting to highering half their work force as illegal immigrants?
Also, they knew this ahead of the raid, so they have knowingly highered and kept employed almost half their workforce (approx. 5,000) illegal workers?
I wonder what american workers looking for a job will feel knowing that a job they could have had is going to an illegal worker? Approximately 5000 jobs….
I am all for someone trying to make a better life for themselves and their families, and i realize most will do whatever they can to achieve these means…..BUT if you break the law doing so, you should have to face the penalties for your actions, that includes companies that higher you knowing your an illegal in this country.
A big part of the problem we face is that we are a country of laws, but only want to enforce those laws that are politically expedient.
Forgot to add the link to the article….

Since this is an open post, I would like to ask those of you who have the inclination to pray, to add the men that are lost on Mt. Hood in Oregon and the search & rescue teams safety and peace for their families to your list.
Kelly is my hubby’s cousin.
Godly men, all of those “lost” on the mountain.
I know that faith can move mountains.
Thanks!
