“24″ Open thread

I didn’t forget this time :)

For anyone who misses tonight’s show, I’ll link up to a recap of it tomorrow from Right Wing Nuthouse, where Rick Moran does an excellent job at recapping “24″ episodes.

Tue AM Update: Last night’s recap isn’t posted yet at Rick’s blog, but I did find this one via Google search.

Tue PM Update: Rick’s excellent recap is now posted.

  1. T-minus 5 minutes until my TiVo has properly cached 24. I wonder if we’ll go another hour without Jack killing anyone. I highly doubt it.

  2. Whew! Jack’s close to losing it over his bro, eh?

  3. Jack’s dad is pure evil – OMG!

  4. Jack Deth says:

    Hi, ST: \:d/

Of course Jack’s dad is pure evil. He’s James Cromwell, the former LAPD Captain Dudley Smith from “L.A. Condfidential”.

Powers Booth is no slouch to evil, either (“Extreme Prejudice”, “Deadwood”, “Sin City”).

Why do I have the creeping suspicion that Jack’s dad, the VP and the Ally BcBeal dweeb are conspiring to off President Palmer?

    Jack.

If you’re talking about 24, then you’ve got to check out Blogs4Bauer, which does a live blog, a TiVo recap, and lots of other 24 blogging goodness.

I thought this week’s episode was much better than the past two or so. I have to admit, I didn’t see the Morris thing coming; I assumed it would be the random CTU field agent that introduced himself by name.

  7. NC Cop says:

Is it me, or does Powers Boothe bear a striking resemblance to V.P. Cheney? Coincidence?

  8. I got that impression, too, NC – especially with the way they were portraying him.

  9. Ryan says:

Powers Boothe… anyone else remember him in Red Dawn? :)

I’ve become hopelessly hooked on 24…got the Season One DVD at Target for $17.99!!!

This season is building slow, but nicely. I knew Jack’s father was up to his eyeballs in everything, but killing his own son??? This is just the tip of the iceberg kids…hold on tight. Morris is about to be a “former cast member” I think…and remember Assad? He wants to turn from terrorism to the “political process”…perhaps…perhaps not.
As has been suggested, I think the new President Palmer had better watch his back. 24 is a fun ride ;)

  11. Great White Rat says:

    Ryan,

Yep…I sure do. The fighter pilot.

Sometimes I wonder how a movie like that ever made it out of Hollywood. :)

  12. NC Cop says:

Powers Boothe… anyone else remember him in Red Dawn?

How’d you get yourself shot down, Major?

Well, it was five to one….I got four!

  13. Severian says:

Great movie, Red Dawn. Powers Booth was great as the sardonic, hardened AF Col. Remember the scene where the kids got caught in the crossfire during the tank battle? The image of them cowering in front of this M1A1, getting blasted with the muzzle blast of the 120mm was priceless.

  14. PCD says:

I saw Powers Booth both in Red Dawn, but also portraying Jim Jones, the inventer of Kool-Aid drinking followers in Guyana, in another movie.
