Mark Finkelstein at Newsbusters catches CBS anchor Harry Smith and WH press sec. Tony Snow sparring over Attorneygate on this morning’s Early Show, and it got so bad at one point that Snow accused Smith of coming at him like a partisan rather than a reporter.

Tony, don’t you know by now that they’re one in the same?

The CBS Public Eye blog also noted and discussed the exchange. There’s video of Snow and Smith at that link as well.

Though…. I am so glad he points this out so that people watching can think “oh my lord yes he isn’t acting as a reporter”.

  2. I think Harry’s smirk at the end tells us the whole story…No respect for Tony and no respect for the White House. What a “fair and balanced” network CBS is…..NOT!!

  3. The MSM thinks that people actually like them. They are catering to the minority that don’t like this administration. Basically, the media it self.

They keep pointing to Bush’s approval rating at 30%. I find this hard to believe, as most people I know actually think Bush is a strong leader.

I think it’s been said before you can twist the poll questions to show any result you desire to attain.

  4. G-Monster,

What they always fail to mention is the congress and their (the MSM) approval ratings.

Both are much lower then the Presidents. In fact used car salesmen and loan sharks get higher approval ratings then either the congress of the MSM.
