   Well, here we go again. (pastor Sharpton) the forgiving position. Rev. Sharpton and the Rev Jessie Jackson ought to find themselves a church building and gather together folk’s to preach what the bible says. Forgivness, love thy neighbor instead of combing streets looking for handouts to support themselves. Does anyone remember when Jessie Jackson said on TV that guilty or not guilty he would not leave the side of the girl that accused the Duke LaCross players of Rape. Last I seen of him doing what he said. He and Al must have found a jet that would fly them to another racial incident.
   Do the white people have anyone that runs to our aid when we are discrimated against. I have been in situations where I was treated unfairly by a black person and I wish I had a number to call.

   Much ado about nothing. Imus is a creation of the media and they have decided he’s an embarrassment to them, so, “Off with his head!”

   CBS and MSNBC are nothing more than agenda-pushers for the Left. If Imus cares about his “freedom of speech” he’ll hook up with another company very soon. Otherwise he’ll spend the rest of his public life apologizing for being offensive to the perpetually offended. That’s what infantile humor gets you.

   OK this is rediculous:

   Meanwhile the Rutgers women’s basketball team appeared Thursday on the Oprah Winfrey show to discuss the controversy. “Not only did he steal our dreams, he hurt our character of Rutgers University, our state, and all who have been associated,” Rutgers Head Coach C. Vivian Stringer said on the show.

   No one can steal your dreams, by saying what Imus did.

   A deragatory term does not steal dreams or hurt your character..ect.

   It may hurt your feelings, like if someone called me honky, whitey, cracker, ect….but it doesn;t steal my dreams or hurt my character.

   Because I make my dreams and no one can steal them away – and a stupid degatory term will not do all that they said it did.

   I am sorry, but this is a rediculous statement by these girls.

   Now if Imus had just stuck to insulting Asians, or spewing hate against Christians, like, say, Rosie O’Donnell, he’d still have his job. And the usual crowd of left-wing politicos and MSMers who are condemning him today would still be laughing it up with him tomorrow.

   Clearly, only certain certified ‘victim’ groups can have their dreams stolen and their lives ruined by an idiotic remark by a washed-up shock jock.

   Whatever happened to “Sticks and stones…”??

   Does Rosie have cause to be worried?

   Fanning the flames of discontent sparked by the Imus controversy, former congressman Tom DeLay is making a plea for his fellow conservatives to get Rosie O’Donnell fired for recent remarks she made.

   “I’m calling for conservatives to take on Rosie O’Donnell,” DeLay said during an interview with CNN. “She criticized and ridiculed Chinese-Americans, she accused the president of being responsible for 9/11. Let’s now start calling for her resignation.”

   ….

   O’Donnell responded to DeLay on her blog with a post titled “Tommy D,” calling him a “criminal” and “sad slug,” and also says his claims about her 9/11 comments are wrong. She then goes on to post a wikipedia transcript of Delay’s indictments for illegal acceptance of funds while he was U.S. House Majority Leader.

   O’Donnell’s spurned quite a bit of controversy lately. She recently questioned the cause of collapse for World Trade Center 7, a building near the Twin Towers that collapsed eight hours after the planes first hit. That led to a feud between O’Donnell and Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.

   In all honesty though, is Imus and Rosie conduct about the same?

   I think so.

   Some of the remarks that Rosie has done on air, on a national TV show, has been racist and bigoted at times.

   Same as Imus.

   They say that the big reason was Imus has a national audience that he affects.

   So does Rosie.

   I don’t think Rosie has much to worry about unless they start losing sponsors because of her actions, but I do think we may see a more subdued Rosie for a little while, especially now that Imus is gone – and how it came about.

   Sanity, I have my doubts about Rosie being subdued. In her egomaniacal thinking she doesn’t compare to Imus. Just like her advertising for K-Mart, one of the biggest gun retailers in the nation, wasn’t a compromise of her anti-gun stance. Why, because Rosie never advertised the guns. Rosie has no problems with her body guard having a gun to protect her too. Why, because some crazed homophobic, gun totin’ right wing Christian might try to shoot her dead while she is out. Rosie can say bad things about Chinese Americans. Why, because they are just Americans. Imus saying something bad African Americans, well that should be a capital offense. After all they are Africans.

   Here is my main problem with the majority of left wing leadership. On a great many issues, they have to take a scapel to define their position. They are constantly both accusatorial and defensive on almost any issue. They slam Imus, but praise Rosie. Look at Hurricane Katrina, somehow it was George Bush’s fault, but Ray Nagin, he was God’s gift to this horrible horrible situation, that George Bush caused.

   Along time ago someone accused Abraham Lincoln, the 1st Rebulican President, of being 2 faced. He replied if I were, would I wear this one. Well in the case of present day Dems, I have to wonder, why would they wear either of the 2 faces they constantly expose. – Lorica
