Will one Ro replace the other on The View?
The NYPost reports that Roseanne Barr is an “early favorite” to replace Rosie O’Donnell on ABC’s The View:
April 30, 2007 — A Rosie is a Rosie is a Rosie.
Roseanne Barr has emerged as the top contender to replace Rosie O’Donnell next year on “The View,” sources say.
A rep for Barr says she has not been approached.
“It’s almost like that rumor that spread last month about how she was going to be on ‘Desperate Housewives,’ ” said Barr’s spokesperson.
“She’s a piece of work, she’s a character, she says what’s on her mind and she’s funny,” said a source with knowledge of ABC’s sudden and desperate search to find a new co-host to replace O’Donnell who quit the show last week.
“They’re missing strong personalities on that show, and that’s what they’re going to need if they want to keep it going,” an ABC staffer close to the situation told the Post.
During an appearance on “Larry King” last week, Roseanne danced around the question of joining the “The View.”
“I’m not looking for the job,” she said at one point – and joking at another, “Well, I want $10 million, like Rosie.”

In more upbeat news, The View’s only conservative, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, is pregnant with her second child. Her hubby is NY Giants QB Tim Hasselbeck.

If Roseanne supplants Rosie, Freudians might say Disney/ABC has “a death wish.”
Questions: 1) Does this mean “crotch grabbing” will be a new feature on The View? 2) Is it true, as rumored, that Disney’s next remake of “Snow White” will include two new dwarfs, “Nasty” and “Raunchy?”

Wanna bet they try and get rid of Elizabeth when she is on maternity leave with the new baby — that way they could have a whole bunch of loons on the view.
300 million americans in this country, and the best the view can dig up is rosie o’donnell and rosanne barr?
After visiting a few other blogs, there’s a movement out there to get Barbara Walters to replace Rosie O’Donell with a real conservative host. Michelle Malkin, Katherine Hamm, or maybe even Sister Toldjah would be a great replacement and would bring abc conservative viewers. If this sounds interesting to you, maybe drop an email to abc?

I vote for Ann Coulter. Face it, they need a bomb thrower for the ratings game, so it might as well be one with the wit and intelligence to completely eviscerate the liberals on the show.
