Ruth Graham in a coma, close to death

Posted by: ST on June 13, 2007 at 9:43 pm

Ruth Graham, the wife of Reverend Billy Graham, is reportedly near death due to a long illness.

The Rev. Graham talks fondly – and often – about his wife and what an inspiration and encouragement she’s been over the years, so I know this has to be especially hard for him. My prayers and thoughts go out to him and the entire Graham family during these trying times.

  1. Wow, I hadn’t even heard about this.

Ruth Graham has brightened many a day with her uplifting commentary and literary style. She’s been Billy’s champion and life mate for over half a century. Well done, good and faithful servant! o:-)

This is indeed a sad day. :( I have to wonder how far behind her Billy will be. :( When I was a youngin’ I lived near a fairly large cemetary 20-30 acres or so, and I was always surprised at how many long term married folk die within a month of each other. I know there can be alot of explanations for this, but I have always hoped that it was due to them being broken hearted. – Lorica

She made it possible for Billy to travel the world and prosyletize. Without Ruth raising the family and being a rock at home, Billy Graham would not have succeeded.

Oh Billy Graham would have succeeded, you just have to listen to any of his sermons, to see how many people he has reached through the word of God. His life would have been totaly different without his beloved wife Ruth. Oh but he has succeeded.
