Thought I’d get this one started seeing as I’ll be out most of the afternoon – I’m in between a couple of appointments I have today, and wanted to check in and say hi. Be back later this afternoon/early evening ![]()
In the meantime, check out Memeorandum to find out what’s buzzing in the blogosphere. The big ’story’? How the GOP supposedly wants to “oust” Dick Cheney.

Immigration Bill Advances in Senate
LINK
My only hope that it is killed when it comes to the actual vote. – Lorica
The screaming and the moaning the first time the bill died was painful enough. Now, it has a good chance of passing the Senate so conservatives will spend a few more weeks screaming at each other. Ugh!
Typical summertime political bovine feces. Have they forgotten: the President cannot demand the Vice President’s resignation? The Vice President is an elected official; if they want to remove him, and he is unwilling to go, they have to impeach him. Anyone want to bet on that one happening?

So I hear you’re going in to have your pacemaker checked out, Dick? It would be a shame if something happened to it . . .
Don’t give the far left any ideas, Les!
Well, at least the Senate got this one right:
Pro-Union Bill Blocked by GOP Opposition in Senate
This was the bill that would have outlawed secret ballots in unionization proceedings, making it easier for unions to intimidate reluctant workers and grab more of their money for political expenditures. Basically, it was the Dems’ payback to the union bosses for their campaign contributions last year.
Saw this one on Blackfive:
Anti-war scum compare US Troops to Nazis
Complete with a picture of the flyer promoting their next rally. Don’t read it unless you want your blood to boil.
And keep it in mind the next time some leftists tell you they “support the troops”.
