Remembering Mary Jo Kopechne

I’m sure Senator-for-life Ted Kennedy has forgotten about Mary Jo Kopechne, but Roger Fraley hasn’t, nor have many other of my readers, if the emails in my inbox are any indication.

Mary Jo’s children and grandchildren were not available for comment………!

When the Old Sot comes to Dubuque, the Democrats lock up their young women and do not let Teddy drive anything, not even a golf ball.

Sadly though, the accomplices after the fact are the voters of Massachusetts that keep returning him to the Senate.

  4. Roger Fraley says:

Thanks for the link. I always thought you were a kind, southern lady.

Why is it that mysterious death does not effect any dem, I just don’t get it.

And the cover-up continues nearly forty years later.

Roger Fraley’s commentary is spot on. Mary Jo didn’t drown. She suffocated. The undertaker reported finding only about half a teacup of water in her, which rules out drowning.

So here’s the mental picture that should never leave you when you think about Kennedy: a young woman trapped and desperately gasping for breath in a shrinking air bubble in an overturned car for several hours, at the exact moments when Teddy spends his time wallowing in self-pity, calling his lawyers, and pondering the effect on his political career.

It’s all about character. Few people in public life have had such a conclusively damning incident to show their lack of it.
