Weekend open thread

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on September 29, 2007 at 9:56 am

I’m out to enjoy this gorgeous fall weather we’re having today :)

Here’s one quick link I’d like to post: Author, NPR correspondent, and Fox News analyst Juan Williams wrote a piece for Time magazine defending Bill O’Reilly against charges of racism being levelled at him by the far left Media Matters, among others, for – what else – taking his comments out of context and accusing him of racism. The comments were taken from O’Reilly’s radio talk show, in a conversation O’Reilly had with Williams about black culture.

In the Time article, Williams points out how he was called the usual disgusting nicknames levelled at black people who don’t follow the black liberal line about white people. Make sure to read the whole thing.

I’ll check back in tomorrow.

Iran’s Parliament Signs Resolution to Label CIA, Army as ‘Terrorist Organizations’

Is it me or does this sounds suspiciously like a child saying “No i’m not, you are!” or “I’m rubber your glue whatever you say bounces of me and sticks to you.”

Give me a break. What’s next Mr. Aqua Velvajad, are you going to slap us while we’re not looking and then run home to your mommy?

I hope they really question him and allow this for national coverage.

Obama throws back a quote into the teeth of Bill Clinton after Clinton came out with the “I was more experienced”:

“The same old experience is not relevant. … And you can have the right kind of experience and the wrong kind of experience,” Clinton said at the time.

“He’s exactly right,” Obama said at a rally. “What we need to do is put an end to the wrong kind of experience.”

    DOH!

And it has taken them THIS long, after being exonerated, and Nifong publically renounced..for Duke to apologize.

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Duke University President Richard Brodhead apologized Saturday for not better supporting the men’s lacrosse players falsely accused in last year’s highly publicized rape scandal.

Brodhead, speaking at the university’s law school, said he regretted Duke’s “failure to reach out” in a “time of extraordinary peril” after a woman accused three players of raping her at a March 2006 party thrown by the team.

“Given the complexities of this case, getting the communication right would never have been easy,” Brodhead said. “But the fact is that we did not get it right, causing the families to feel abandoned when they were most in need of support. This was a mistake. I take responsibility for it and I apologize for it.”

Brodhead spoke at a school-sponsored forum on legal and ethical issues common to high-profile cases, and he received a standing ovation following his speech. He left afterward and school officials said he would not be available for further comment.

So exactly what the hell is going on in Colorado??

First, there’s Ward Churchill, the fake Indian and genuine nutcase, making a fool of himself until he got fired.

Next, you have a cluster of larva-stage Communists in something called a “Student Workers Club” deciding they need to rewrite the Pledge of Allegiance to make it more politically correct.

And now, another PC drone has decided to strike a blow for sensitivity at a Colorado Springs elementary school by banning playing tag during recess.

When we weren’t looking, did someone ship the entire population of San Francisco to the Rockies??
