A few questions…..
Something struck me on what Huckabee said on the Tonight Show:
I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want anyone I work with to be President. Take a look at the people you work with, and be honest with yourself, is that the type of person you really want as President?
Another thing, where is Guilliani?
It is like he dropped off the map in both campaigning and in the media.
Thompson needed to make 3rd place in Iowa and he has done so, beating out McCain.
Huckabee will be increasingly under the spot light, and the closer people look at Huckabee, I think the more they will not like what they see.
That leaves Romney and Thompson.
Listening to the Laura Ingraham show this morning, someone made an excellent point.
With the war in Iraq becoming less news since it is going better, and Democrats no longer shoving it into the media cause they no longer have a leg to stand on anymore without sounding defeatist, recent polls are showing majority of Americans are turning their concerns more to the economy and jobs. With this in mind, who has more ability in building wealth and jobs? A preacher (Huckabee) or Mitt Romney? Huckabee will make all the sympathetic noises in listening to everyones troubles, but when it comes down to it, do you want someone who says they understand and offers a shoulder to cry on, or someone who will do whatever they can to improve Americas standing economically?
Seeing this, I had a thought on a possible team, Romney and Thompson, a leader / builder with a true conservative.
Also, Democrat side, I am seeing Clinton’s 3rd place showing a real slap in the face to her from the Democrats, especially since she thought she had this locked up. Even silky pony did better than her making 2nd place.
This is about to get real interesting, because Clinton’s will not go down without a fight, so I imagine they are sharpening their claws. She has put together the same team from when Bill Clinton came from behind, getting the nickname, “The Comeback Kid”, and hopes to do the same thig with her campaign.
Unfortuantely for her, she is not Bill Clinton, and she is not as likeable as he was. She is riding name recognition and Bill Clinton’s coattails, and even with that, she did worse than Edwards.
I believe Obama will lock up the Democrat nomination, as for the Republican, I hope it is Thompson, but I don’t think it will be Huckabee.
I would love a Romney / Thompson ticket sanity.
Of course it’d have to be Thompson for Pres and Romney for Veep.
I don’t think Hillary will make it anymore. There is an excitement for Obama that I wasn’t expecting. The 95% white Iowa came out for Obama in large numbers and yet the NY Times (see Malkin today) runs an idiot piece injecting racism….
Ohio State LSU on Monday.
Go Buckeyes! O-H…I-O!
Hillary’s fundraiser pal Norman Hsu was sentenced to prison today in a California court …

Another one bites the dust.
But as he says, look for the silver lining, as it were and toast him proper if you’re so inclined.
Moved from another thread to this one. –ST

I can’t be sure why this reminds me of both the DBM and the unelectable Shrillary, but it does.
