   McCain says he would have responded differently to hurricane

   NEW ORLEANS (AP) – John McCain toured still hurricane-damaged areas of New Orleans and declared that if the disaster had happened on his watch, he would have immediately landed his plane at the nearest Air Force base.

   The Republican presidential candidate is campaigning this week in what he calls forgotten areas of the country. He offered a pledge Thursday to New Orleans residents that their situation will not be forgotten and that such a botched disaster response will never happen again.

   McCain was unsparing in his criticism of the Bush administration. He said Congress must share some of the blame, too.

   Drawing a sharp contrast to President Bush, McCain said he would have landed his plane “at the nearest Air Force Base and come over personally.”

   The problems that New Orleans have due to Katrina are not due to President Bush, they are due to the complete incompetance of the Dem Mayor, and Dem Govenor, and the liars in the MSM. I am so sick of these idiotic comments, especially coming from someone who should know better. This man better straigten up the BS, or he is going to alienate alot of people who aren’t stuck on stupid. – Lorica

   Watching the dems crack up is so much fun it almost made me forget what a wad McCain is.

   If he sucks up much more to his friends, meaning democrats, he is going to even lose the racist vote.

   Bush Basher Smashes Disabled Teen

   A man heckling First Lady Laura Bush and daughter Jenna outside the 92nd Street Y was arrested after he punched a wheelchair-bound girl whose parents has told him to shut up,

   “He began yelling about Iraq and Iran at Jenna Bush. She was waving at the crowd. I told the guy, ‘What are you doing? Shut up. This is about a child and books,’ ” said John Lovetro. “He was unperturbed. I said, ‘Get out of here! You’re being a moron!’ “

   The next thing he knew, Talis was allegedly punching Maureen – a fan of the first lady since meeting her in 2004.

   This Talis guy is a 9/11 “Truther” and an obvious nutcase, not that there is much difference between the two. All I can see is that if that was my child he assaulted, they would have been charging me with manslaughter.

   I agree NC. He would know the truth soon after he punched my girl. It is POSes like this that give the rest of the 9/11 Truthers a bad name. Or it’s their idiotic thinking. We all know the truth behind the Sept. 11th attacks, Bill Clinton enabled it to happen. – Lorica

   campaign’s official blogger, Sam Graham-Felsen, has spent time in France participating in labor riots, has written for a socialist magazine, hung a communist flag in his home, and was a fan of Marx while at Harvard.

   What’s not to like?
