    Hillary is out…..or is she??

“Today as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run.

I thought that suspending your campaign is not the same as actually ending your campaign??

I am still of the mindset that this election is John McCain’s to lose. BO is actually going to be the easier of the 2 to beat, but we shall see. – Lorica

  2. sanity says:

Hillary suspends the campaign (like Edwards did) so she continue to raise money. She is 30 million in debt, and if she suspends not terminates, then it allows her to keep getting donations and contributions.

But she is out, there is no doubt of this.

Sad thing is, McCain is so weak, that a decent republican / conservative candidate should be able to trounce BO, but we have one of hte weakest goin up against BO – and your right, it will be McCains to lose.

Damned if we do, damned if we don’t.

  3. teqjack says:

a Canadian study looking at the equitable nature of waiting lists reported that while there were no biases in waiting times for joint replacement surgeries with respect to age, gender, education or work status; there were in other respects. Waiting time was determined by the patient’s body mass index and the primary language they spoke, as well as marital status.

The main post is about a man who has been denied knee surgery because he is fat. But far more dangerous abdominal surgery was offered. Who knew, among other things, that knees have more fat to get through than bellies do?

  4. Baklava says:

Teqjack, The doctor said, “Raymond Harris needs two knee replacements but Geelong Hospital will not operate at his current weight of 159.7kg… Mr Harris said his surgeon at Geelong Hospital had told him he needs to drop to 140kg before they will put him on a waiting list for surgery”

I’m sorry. The story is crap. The opinion is crap. I’ll say it like it is. The doctor cares about the patient but people are making judgments about the doctor that are extremely negative.

It’s like saying to some mechanic that he doesn’t care about a customer’s car when the mechanic won’t put on a new windshield knowing the owner will be entering a demolition derby.

    Whatev!

Liberals will always CARE with other people’s money so much. Limited resources means nothing. Casting aspersions on others is everything to liberals. Makes them feel better!!!

teqjack, I hit 127k about six months back. Prior to getting to that weight I had so much knee and back pain due to a minimum of three factors, weight not being the least but an absolutely undeniable factor.

My college freestyle weigh in weight was around 88 kilo and I had less than 2% body fat. I am not a small man. I’m six foot and have worn a 42-44 shirt (depending on the season) since I left high school.

I have since then sustained a couple injuries. I have had my back broke twice, a left knee bent backwards and a few other minor debilitating incidents. All that to say this, as I reached a maximum weight of 127k. I said enuff! I dropped back down to 103k, which reduced the pain in my hip joint, most of which was due to the odd position my spine healed and a lot of excess baggage. Period!

We are talking about a 350 pound guy man! Is it too much to ask that he show some commitment and drop to 308! It aint like this dude is some diaphanous being you could read a book through on a starlit night man! Balance man, it’s always about some kind of balance!

BTW, I’m on my way to the 90’s to avoid the recommended hip replacement in order to buy time and have some more self respect. I don’t like it, as I love food and eating what I want, when I want, but balance requires a different strategy.

One last thing. As strange as it may sound, I’m glad to have pain, in something I still have. I’m glad I can still feel (it). I’m blessed to NOT be in a situation that is not untenable.

Advice for those who want to whine and blame…………cry me a frickin river, I don’t care! Take action and responsibility while you can!! It’s the only time you can! You are not owed a pain free existence! Get over it!

There lives a man in NY City who I have the deepest respect w/o ever meeting him in person, that could tell you far more on this topic than I. Ask him if you don’t believe me……goes by NC. A mans man and no whiner is he!

    Oooooooorah!

Let’s see….first it was his grandmother, then Jeremiah Wright, then his entire church, and now (based on his latest flip-flop) then entire nation of Israel. So who does Obama throw under the bus next?

In today’s Philadelphia Inquirer, Kevin Ferris gives us a tongue-in-cheek answer: Michelle.

Chris: Wait, this isn’t a staffer. This is his wife! How do they expect to spin this?

Tim: With high-minded but empty rhetoric, Chris. Keep in mind, this isn’t a spur-of-the-moment decision. Obama has had a long association with his wife, and so is not totally unfamiliar with these views – though reportedly he will insist that he was never at the dinner table when these opinions were expressed.

Good for a chuckle, but it does make a serious point about the way Obama repeatedly pretends to be shocked when one of his long-time or close associates is found to be a racist, criminal, or terrorist.

“This isn’t the Michelle Obama I knew twenty years ago…”

Victoria, Texas is a town about 80 miles west of Houston .

Local Hispanic leaders, in opposition to pending Immigration Legislation, boycotted all Caucasian owned businesses in the Victoria area one past weekend as a demonstration of their economic impact on the community.

The boycott was declared a success in the Hispanic community, noting that revenue in Caucasian owned businesses was down 19%.

Business owners declared the boycott a success as well, pointing out that shoplifting was reduced by 77%.
