  1. I’m fine. Just a little shaken (rattled, and rolled). :d

I’m about to head home to check to see if the aquarium is still standing. Fingers crossed I don’t have flopping fish all over the place… :-ss

This was a good jolt … but this ain’t the third world so we can take it. Caught some of that FNC coverage, however, and it bordered on the absurd … like their regular coverage of trash fires outside New Jersey or construction workers stuck in a manhole ;)

  3. Frank Hagan says:

Barely felt up in Santa Barbara, but back home in Oxnard it was a “good roller”. No reports of damage yet, and the radio stations are featuring the normal reactions that follow this pattern:

    1. Recognition (”I thought, WHOA! We’re having an earthquake”)
    2. Data Gathering (”And I saw that the umbrella at Starbucks was moving slightly!”)
    3. Communication (”I said, Hey, did you feel that?”)
    4. Confirmation (”The barrista said ‘I almost spilled the latte!’”)
    5. Closure (”So I called in to tell you my story.”)

[This link] has the most recent geological information … its been downgraded to a 5.4 quake.

  4. Just an update: I came home and the aquarium was A-OK: not even a drop spilled. My fish were looking at me as if to say, “That was a fun ride! Where’s dinner?”

    Whew! #:-s >:d<

  5. Great White Rat says:

Glad you all got through it with no serious damage!

  6. Jo Graham says:

That is why I live in a state that does not have earthquakes. I just don’t think I could handle it. I’m glad yall are safe though.

  7. Lorica says:

Glad to hear you all are ok. Good to hear the sushi was ok too. =))

Jo, if the New Madrid fault goes off most of fly over country is going to feel it. :( – Lorica

    I blame Bush… :))
