Hey ya’ll – having a busy day. Will be back late this afternoon or evening. In the meantime, make sure to check out Memeorandum for the issues/stories the blogosphere is talking about.
Actor George Clooney reportedly is in close contact with Barack Obama and is advising him on both oratorical and policy matters, according to the (London) Daily Mail.
Oh, my sides. Absolutely unbelievable. Well, at least Obama’s not taking advice about things like Iraq from an overrated actor, right?
In addition to speaking and body language advice, a source said, Clooney — a pro-Palestinian advocate — is informally advising Obama on Middle East issues, including advocating unconditional withdrawal from Iraq should Obama win office.
So who is this George Clooney? Obviously to take advice on such matters of importance to the United States, and the rest of the world, Clooney must be well educated and knowledgeable about such things, right?
A little known fact about actor George Clooney is that he tried out for the Cincinnati Reds team in 1977. He didn’t make it. So, he finished attending Augusta High School where Clooney focused more on sports than on the curriculum.
So, he stinks as a baseball player. Got it.
Short stints at the Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati followed his high school graduation in 1979.
Short stints? Well, at least he went to college for a few months. Obviously he is well qualified to advise a presidential candidate.
It’s always nice to come here after Blogs For Victory, where 60 percent of the posters attack the moderators and other posters’ opinions and get away with it. I mean the few lefties on this blog are pretty well contained. ST, you’re doing a good job.
“America is…is no longer, uh, what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children.” (Obama’s response to a seven year old asking why he wanted to be Potus)??? If he wanted to be truthful, and not weird, he should have said “Because they drive you around in cool limosines, and your plane never leaves the airport until you get there; in one word, Power!
Ahhhhh it is good to see Leach sticking with the party that ensured his career for far longer that he was of value. In 2006 he shouldn’t have even run, as far as I could see, he purposely lost his re-election bid.
“I also have no doubt that a lot of Republicans and independents are going to be attracted to his call for a new era of non-ideological, bipartisan decision-making,” Leach, a former chairman of the House Banking Committee, said on a conference call with reporters.
And after looking at who he has been working for since his failed re-election bid, I have no doubt that he has fallen in with the leftist elite who has made his journey to the dark side complete. – Lorica
Obama just keeps getting better and better:

Let me engage in a little shameful guilt-by-association: Fidel Castro was also a failed major leaguer.

Looks like the 15 minutes of fame are about up for Valerie Plame and Lyin’ Joe Wilson.
