The charges fit, so the jury didn’t acquit
Orenthal James Simpson, found guilty of armed robbery, kidnapping, and conspiracy two months ago, will spend at least the next nine years of his life behind bars. It’s about damned time.
“If our efforts for all these years of pushing him drove him to commit armed robbery in Vegas, great! This monster is where he belongs — behind bars,” [Ron Brown's father Fred] Goldman said.
These are images the Brown and Goldman families respectively have been waiting a long time – too long – to see.

Fred Goldman may have been right; that court judgement that the Goldman and Brown families won against Simpson that garnished his earnings likely led to his reckless behavior.
Our schools may not be up to par, but our courts are. Do the crime, do the time. And if you ever visit Las Vegas, never mess with Metro. They’ll toss you in the clink in a heartbeat. If you’re cool with them, they’ll be cool with you.
