Well, uh, thanks!

joy I just discovered that I rank 81st out of 100 on Wikio’s Top Political blogs list. That link currently takes you to the January list, but Robert Spencer has a sneak peek at the February list (so far – I guess?) and I’ve moved up three spots to 81. I had no idea such a list existed, but there are some damn fine blogs out there who are also on the list and I feel honored to be among them. So, if you’re a blogger/writer who has been linking to me, thank you! And, of course, if you’re a regular reader, thank you as well Traffic’s been up lately. That’s always a good thing!

Update – 6:43 PM: I meant to note that late last night I added an “Obama Links” section on the far left column right underneath the “Audacity of Truth” section. The links are to mostly media sites that are tracking Obama’s first 100 days in office. I figured it’d be a useful tool to aid in tracking the daily actions of our 44th President.

Now all you have to do is move up three spots per month, and you’ll be #1 in May 2011.

Not that you haven’t been #1 to us regulars for a long time.

Now that I’ve kissed up to the boss, I’m going to go completely off topic. I hope to hell that this report turns out to be false:

According to GeostrategyDirect.com, a newsletter published by The Washington Times’ ace national security reporter Bill Gertz, “Diplomatic sources said Barack Obama has engaged several Arab intermediaries to relay messages to and from al Qaeda in the months before his elections as the 44th U.S. president. The sources said al Qaeda has offered what they termed a truce in exchange for a U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan. ‘For the last few months, Obama has been receiving and sending feelers to those close to al Qaeda on whether the group would end its terrorist campaign against the United States,’ a diplomatic source said. ‘Obama sees this as helpful to his plans to essentially withdraw from Afghanistan and Iraq during his first term in office.’ ”

If this is true, Obama’s was trying to make nice with the terrorist group responsible for 9/11 well before he was elected. He was deliberately working to subvert the foreign policy of the U.S. government.

At the very least, this is a display of weapons-grade stupidity. There’s no intelligent reason for offering to give AQ a respite – thereby allowing them time to rearm and rebuild for their next attack – while he surrenders all our gains in the Middle East to appease the anti-American left back home.

And at the very most, it’s treasonous.

Maybe alchemist or someone else on the left can tell me: just what is it about America’s enemies that you guys find so irresistable? Remember how when the KGB files were opened after the fall of the Soviet Union, we learned that Ted Kennedy spent much of the 1980’s advising the USSR how it might prevail against America during the Reagan years.

Or maybe since AQ hasn’t been able to attack America for more than seven years, Obama thinks they’re no longer terrorists and it’s OK to keep company with them. You know, like Bill Ayers.
