A reminder to be calm, from Joe Biden

Posted by: ST on February 6, 2009 at 7:11 pm

Fear not, my dear readers and fellow Americans. President Obama knows what he’s doing on the stimulus bill. Joe Biden told us prior to their election that there would be times like these, and we’d just have to learn to be patient:

“[Obama's] gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Of course, he was speculating about the possibility that The One would be tested in the first six months by “the world” but the same rule applies to domestic policy, too.

So, with that in mind …

Man up and “gird your loins”! ;)

  1. It’s certainly not apparent now that they’re right.

Tested?? He hasn’t begun to be tested yet. Are we going to see four years of this kind of petulant foot-stamping out of the president every time he doesn’t get a bill through Congress??

It should surprise no one that the wheels are already coming off. The only enterprise the “community organizer” ever ran – the Annenberg Challenge – was a monumental failure. His only distinction in the state legislature or as a Senator was his number of “present” votes. We conservatives knew there was no substance there a long time ago.

Tested? You ain’t seen nothing yet. If he’s going into these histrionics over opposition from the House GOP, wait till he has to deal with the overseas enemies. You can bet the Russians and islamofascists already have him measured. And they’re not worried by what they see.

GWR we already know how he is going to handle radical Islamists. He is going to go on Al-Jezeera and tell them how sorry we are for building skyscrapers where they wanted to fly planes. It is my belief that his repsonse to a 9/11 attack would be worse that Al Gore’s. It wouldn’t be just roll over and say ok, it would also add tribute. I agree with you Carol, these are sad days for America. – Lorica

For some reason this post conjures up the mental image of Chip Diller proclaiming “Remain Calm! All is well!”

    Go figure. :p
