“We choose hope over fear”

Those were words we heard, and heard often, during the course of Barack Obama’s campaign as he convinced a majority of the American people that Republicans had deliberately tried to “scare” people into voting for them over the last 8 years. Yet as Obama has taken office, the cries of “economic catastrophe” coming from both him and members of his administration, and members of his party in Congress, have been loud and strong.

The Washington Times notes President Obama’s flip flop on the issue here, and documents the hypocrisy of some in the mainstream media who also criticized Bush for “doom and gloom” predictions that they characterized as “scare tactics.”

Now that we have another president who is using those same “scare tactics” as it relates to the economic “stimulus package,” I have just one question:

Where’s the outrage? :-?
