Tuesday Open Thread

Got another busy day ahead of me. I just updated the Hot Headlines section with fresh content for ya’ll to peruse.

Also, make sure to read this post by Ed Morrissey in which he discusses the recent release of ‘secret’ counterterrorism memos written by the Bush DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel in the aftermath of 9-11. There’s no excuse making there, but Ed does a good job of putting the memos in the context of the frame of mind the Bush administration was in when the they were written. Of course, the Bush-haters on the left will try to use the information in the memos as “proof” that the Bush administration cared nothing about the Constitution, but Ed’s post notes just the opposite. Make sure to read it all.

I’ll check back in later when I can.

  1. Neo says:

Seems the Obama budget has $1.5 trillion in savings by not having 10 more years of the Iraqi “Surge” .. something that even Bush hadn’t planned on.

With accounting like this, you too can be a trillionaire.

Neo I cannot believe that these idiots didn’t think we would notice this little accounting error. Damn this guy is nothing more than a shister. Was he actually speaking down to this Congressman?? These people are so deluded. I am glad that someone in Congress is trying to make them explain themselves. – Lorica

    From the Politico:

Paul Begala, a close friend of Carville, Greenberg and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, said they found Limbaugh’s overall ratings were even lower than the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s controversial former pastor, and William Ayers, the domestic terrorist and Chicago resident who Republicans sought to tie to Obama during the campaign.

This is obviously among Democrat voters and not a nationwide poll. Because for Rush to poll lower than a racist and a terrorist is just stupid thinking. – Lorica
