Another teleprompter gaffe, brought to you by our Teleprompter President.
Petty? Not when one considers the incredible amount of flak Bush took from liberal elites (and for that matter, not so elite liberals) over his tendency to stumble over his words, which they in turn used to suggest was one of the reasons why so many here at home didn’t take him seriously during his last few years in office, and why he had a hard time persuading elites to his POV.
Fast forward to the new admnistration, and the evidence is undeniable at this point that with or without a teleprompter, President Obama’s speaking style leaves a lot to be desired as well, which perhaps explains, in part, why the fury over the AIG bonus scandal and his approach to dealing with other domestic challenges increases every day. Of course, even a flawless execution of words probably wouldn’t help him much on that front these days.
One of the things that drew supporters to Barack Obama was his ability to deliver a flawless, impassioned speech and for all too many, his style won out regardless of his troubling substance and thin resume. Without his great oration skills, Obama drops from messiah-like to mere mortal, something clear-thinking conservatives tried to warn others about last year, with (obviously) no success.
Which puts us in the joyless position of being able to say “Toldjah So.”

In 2006 control of the US Senate turned on one word: macaca.
Jim Webb, a gun-smuggling sociopath, won the Virginia US Senate seat by harping on the word “macaca”. A word no one had ever heard of before. A word no one has heard of since.
At the time Webb’s aide was arrested, the possession of unregistered firearms in DC was illegal. Webb used his influence to make the charges go away. Another case of how laws (tax, gun, etc.) are for the proles and not our self-anointed moral betters.
Interestingly enough Obama is beginning to sound like his supporters. Whenever I talk to an Obama voter about their support for the holy one they all sound the same:
“Well, I, uh, was thinking that, uh, you know, because Bush wasn’t, uh, things weren’t really going, uh, the economy, uh, uh, uh, Iraq, uh, uh, uh, hope and change, uh, with the uh, you know, YOU’RE A FASCIST!!!”
“…with the uh, you know, YOU’RE A FASCIST!!!”
Kinda says it all, doesn’t it?
Another obvious case of “transference”, although any jackass with a lick of victim pride would be indignant that one could possibly connect socialist ideals and programs to national socialism…
Look around for the latest–rumor has it he wrote to ex-president of France, looking forward to working with him for four years.
I’d write more, but I’m going to be very ill.
Turnabout is, after all, fair play…
He has never held a job before that he didn’t quit to get a better one. Where is he going to go this time?
Some of us are really tired of the “ahhhs” when listening to our fearless leader. He might have bothered to take a class on public speaking at Harvard! Did he actually write a Master’s thesis? Is it hidden because of his Marxist ideology or was he given a pass on writing one? He has never run so much as a law office before–and his work with ACORN has not really trained him for public speaking. As for the AIG storm, in the first place there was absolutely NO reason to rush a 1000+ page bill through Congress when OB was going to wait four days to getting around to signing it. Those shouting the loudest in Washington knew about it well in advance; all the hoopla is about appearances–looking outraged. And this whole economic crisis hinges on the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac situation that was totally controlled by the Democrats, beginning with Carter, Clinton, and the infamous Barney Franks. First OB was doom & gloom and now he is joking about the situation. The one consistency here is his “Ahhhhs.”
Ya know, BO kinda reminds me of Opie, ‘cept he never learns from his bonehead stupidity, and little Ronnie could deliver his lines better…
