Ahh … we can always depend on our “unbiased” mainstream media to help a Democrat president confirm a liberal judge to the SCOTUS, can’t we? It’s sort of like having a “sixth man” on the basketball court.
Not that there will be much trouble confirming her anyway. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t give up – why? In addition to her obsession with identity politics, Richard Epstein explains here and the Green Hell blog gives another good reason here.

The problem with “stopping” her appointment to the SCOTUS is that His Hollowness will come back with another empty head just as bad or worse than this intelligence-ectomy. She seems to be the best we can hope for because only the gutless lib wonders will be artfully persuaded by her verbal bludgeoning. If Zero nominated someone with actual debating skills and intellectual prowess it could be trouble on down the road.
Our work is to let the whole world know she (Sotomayer) is no better a nominee than Harriet Meirs was and probably a lot worse, but was the best our glorious leader from Chicago could do.
(Wonder how soon pics of him will start hanging in D.C. like Mao’s and Stalin’s did in their respective capitals? Just askin’.)
For the next few months I am going to have my cable company shut off MSNBC to my house. Even when I am channel surfing, seeing olbermann, madcow and the rest makes me want to launch my steel toe boots through the TV.
