Yet another sterling example of liberal “compassion”

Gov. Palin blasts the Democrat party of Alaska’s blogger for doctoring a photo of her special needs child Trig to score cheap political points. From Palin’s spokesperson Meghan Stapleton:

Recently we learned of a malicious desecration of a photo of the Governor and baby Trig that has become an iconic representation of a mother’s love for a special needs child.

The mere idea of someone doctoring the photo of a special needs baby is appalling. To learn that two Alaskans did it is absolutely sickening. Linda Kellen Biegel, the official Democrat Party blogger for Alaska, should be ashamed of herself and the Democratic National Committee should be ashamed for promoting this website and encouraging this atrocious behavior.

Babies and children are off limits. It is past time to restore decency in politics and real tolerance for all Americans. The Obama Administration sets the moral compass for its party. We ask that special needs children be loved, respected and accepted and that this type of degeneracy be condemned.

This was the blogger’s response, according to Ben Smith:

The blogger, Linda Kellen Biegel, responded that she was makeing fun of Burke, a talker on KBYR who is a fervent Palin backer, not of Trig.

“It’s called ‘Baby Burke’ because it’s Eddie Burke…basically his probable second-biggest fantasy about the Governor,” Biegel wrote. “So, connecting the dots for you…WE’RE MAKING FUN OF EDDIE BURKE!!!!!!”

Uh huh.

Let’s see: Who ends up looking like the more mature person from all of this? Trig Palin, or Linda Kellen Biegel? I report, you decide.

Conservatives4Palin has much more, including the doctored photo.

You really can’t expect decency from these people. These are the same people that see children like Trig as pests that should be eliminated in the womb. Now they want to blow if off as some disgusting joke. Don’t they realize this stuff just isn’t funny. Replacing Trig’s face with some man’s isn’t humorous at all. I am reminded of Barack’s special olypmics joke. Whatever lowlife puke. – Lorica

Ben Smith really needs to learn to spell ..

    she was makeing fun of

  3. Bachbone says:

But Linda, it was your own Dear Leader Himself who said that children of politicians should be “off limits.” As a good little apparatchik, you surely remember that, don’t you?

  4. SpideyTerry says:

I wonder how Linda would react if someone doctored a photo of her. Something tells me she wouldn’t see the “humor.”

    Rhetorical questions are fun.

Went to the Celtic Diva’s web site, saw why she hates Sarah so much. It has to be pure envy of Sarah’s beauty. Childish comment on my part, I know, but otherwise, she is just another crazy dem-lib/

  6. Yes well the liberals are all so compassionate and caring and tolerant don’t you know. Unless of course you’re a female or minority conservative in which any insult, no matter how vile, is acceptable.

  7. Carlos says:

All this criticism of Biegel is so unfair and unwarranted. After all, she is a liberal, and therefore has the moral high road.

As “intellectual” as those dummies are, you’d think that evidence of results of all their policies and practices would eventually make a dent in their psyche, but unfortunately their programs are never about results, they’re always about intentions.

    Stupid, hypocritical liars.

  8. Helen says:

Within living memory there was a political system (termporarily quite powerful), which believed that disabled people had no right to live and had to be murdered inside the womb or out of it. They acted on it, too. I wonder whether people like Linda Kellen Biegel can guess which system I am referring to.

  9. Carlos says:

“Within living memory”. Does that include the memories of those babies murdered, Helen?

  10. Helen says:

Did you understand what I was saying Carlos? Yes, within living memory there was a political system of that kind. And I wondered whether some people would realize which system I was talking about. Why did you ask that question?

  11. Carlos says:

Helen, what I should have said was babies’ memories, not memories of the babies. Rhetorical because the murdered babies can have no memories, which was (poorly written) exactly my point.

Sorry, ST, I’ll try to be clearer next time.
