What is it they say about sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me?
Well, the last time I had to confront something like this was when I voted for the civil rights bill and my opponent voted against it. At that time, we had a lot of Ku Klux Klan folks and white supremacists and folks in white sheets and other things running around causing trouble.
Watch the video at the above link.
Related: Malkin liveblogged Obama’s New Hampshire “town hall” today. You can check it out here.
Yeah, but Obama accuses Republicans of using “scare” tactics.
What a reprehensible and pig ignorant statement. I hope his constituents remember this come election time.
What a pig.
See anyone you recognized from the meetings there Dingell? Or didn’t you and they recognize each other without the sheets?
I call BS on this….I’ve watched a lot of the town hall videos and I didn’t see Robert Byrd in any of them.
If you need a chuckle, see how Big Fur Hat envisions having the tables turned on Obama.
NO. . .I think Rep. Dingell is dingy! The Obama thugs–Union & ACORN–are of the same kinship as the KKK. When legitimate objections to a health care system that would be paramount to a death sentence for Baby Boomers [& seniors] are disregarded on the basis of some racist remarks—you have to look very closely at who brought up RACE first. Yes, we have a half black President but in every venue, the only ones who “play the race card” are the ones who are REALLY racist. And there is NO such thing as “reverse racism” because there is plenty of racism out here that doesn’t come from whites. Obama played the race card in his speeches when he campaigned; the black college professor played the race card; and now… those who want to silence opposition to this ObamaCare are trying desperately to make this a race issue. IT IS NOT A RACE ISSUE. There must be a great deal of “fishy” contents in that Health Care Bill for these Liberals to come out so defensively, so vehemently, and so irrationally against anyone who opposes this nationalized health care system/bill that no member of Congress, or the Prez, has bothered to read completely. I find it rather interesting that these same outraged citizens who were enormously disrespectful to the previous President are so “touchy” about any criticism or opposition to their Messiah in the WH. Methinks they do protest too much! And the more violent they get–or the more outrageous the name calling becomes—only indicates to this veteran & patriot that they HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE. Personally, I want the same Health plan that Congress and the WH enjoys. If they don’t want to participate in this Nationalized Health Care system—neither do I. Considering the tactics of those encouraged by the WH, I would say Dingell is DINGY and a little off base here. The only ones using intimidating tactics would be the Liberals, Union thugs, and ACORN. Where is the Prez on this injustice? Oh, yeah, probably conferring with his pastor, the anti-American bigot, Rev. Wright!
Dingell is from SE Michigan. That’s DEEtroit. All anyone has to do is allege an opponent is a racist or anti-union and they can be re-elected for life, as the Democrats who have run SE Michigan (into the ground) have done for decades. Dingell and his wife know this. Rest assured his words were not randomly chosen.
Yeah, Dingle voted for it and the KKK voted against it.
If I remember correctly, Sen. Robert Byrd was one of the KKK who voted against it. As were most of the other jackasses.
Oh, yeah, it was the REPUBLICANS who were the majority vote passing that legislation.
Just a little revisionist history there, eh, Johnny D.?
Oh my God! Do Democrats really think this kind of rhetoric won’t come back to haunt them? What do they have to gain by insulting voters? If anything, that’ll just increase the resolve of those opposed to them and ObamaCare. Not that I have a problem with Democrats getting hassled. I’m just amazed by the stupidity.
Oh golly, one more accusation of racism. This must be the – what? – 42,578th one this week?
Funny how the Dems act like they despise the Klan. It only took them over a century to decide they didn’t like them. Atfer, of course, creating them in the first place.
Kinda like the KKK….talk about desperate measures!!! I agree with SpideyTerry…what are the dems gong for total alienation???? IF so I hope they keep the trend going until people get a really good look at the motivation of the democratic party. A reality check for America…the anger and dismay was palpable at the town hall Arlen Spector ran in Lebanon, PA yesterday. He was somewhat careful about his choice of words.
