When it was “cool” and unremarkable to make Hitler comparisons

Take a walk down memory lane.

Where was that same outraged media we see foam at the mouth over a handful of Obama-Hitler comparisons – some of which are done by people who aren’t even conservatives, where were they during the Bush years? Here’s where they were:

Mainstream Media: 2000-2008

Mainstream Media: 2000 - ?

Related to all this, Andrew McCarthy’s written a piece for NRO that is pretty much guaranteed to earn him a spot on KeithO’s “Worst Person in the World” segment. The title of it?

Always remember: It’s cool when the left ‘dissents’. It’s the fringe kook right when we do it.

And the comparison of national socialization to National Socialism is the entire crux of the problem, isn’t it?

The poorly educated academics are all for comparisons such as with Nazis until the real meaning comes home to roost.

The more appropriate picture would be one with the likes of little chrissie matthews with his head up his arse. Cause that is where it spends most of it’s time.

Yeah like I dig, man…like I wear my Che shirt and my liberal profs really relate to that….man, can’t these right wing kooks just mellow and go with the flow? I mean, like, it’s way uncool to be comparing us really hip folks to stormtroopers and Nazis (but I do cream over those uniforms).

It really harshes my mellow. So lay off that dudes.

No one interested in history would mistake Obama for Hitler anyhow. There is only one apt comparison, the other fellow who tried to govern by standing with his chin jutted just so. His name was Mussolini.

That guy’s head is in the wrong place. It needs to be at the other end stuck in a body cavity.
