Whether or not you like Glenn Beck, his viewership numbers tell the story:
5PM – P2+ (25-54) (35-64)
Glenn Beck– 2,325,000 viewers (583,000) (1,068,000)
Situation Room—651,000 viewers (158,000) (250,000)
Hardball w/ Chris Matthews—629,000 viewers (160,000) (239,000)
Fast Money—212,000 viewers (a scratch w/ 51,000) (81,000)
Prime News–237,000 viewers (123,000) (142,000)“While advertisers abandon Glenn Beck, the audience clearly isn’t. It is still beating all the 5pm cable news network competition…combined.”
Related to that, are advertisers really “abandoning” Glenn Beck in droves? Ed Morrissey did some digging last week and found the claim both misleading and dubious. Read his full post here.

Even those weirdos who spend megabucks on TV advertising won’t be able to fight this for very long.
In the meantime, if you can’t bring yourself to expend a little energy and call some of the scumbot advertisers that have abandoned Beck, at least tune in to his program to drive up his numbers.
Capitalism. Don’tcha love it?
And all the while they’re sneering at being called Progressive Socialists–and worse–they are desperately trying to figure out a way to shut down Beck, Fox News, Limbaugh and all other anti-liberal-socialist so-called ‘news outlets.’ It’s part of the indoctrination, we-know-vastly-more-than-the-hoi-poloi-just-pay-your-exhorbitant-taxes-and-shut-up new regime. I guess it must be true we get the government we deserve. Look around at who among us voted for him. Thank God I didn’t.
Yup, ratings don’t lie and advertisers don’t run from ratings.
Of course those who disagree with Glenn Beck’s quest to bring knowledge and common sense to the masses have branded him a right wing nut job who needs to be shut down by any means.
Wake up call to liberals….you had your chance with shouting down and criticizing the Bush administration for 8 years, the cooperation of the MSM to get away with it and the money from liberal billionaires and union organizers to carry your water. Now you are facing the same heat but it’s coming from a ground swell of individuals who are onto your little game….grow a brain and give us a cogent argument why you are so great and we should listen to any of your cohorts….oh, that right you have Keith O. on MSNBC…great comeback.
Nor did I.
I give Beck credit for calling “tripe whenever tripe is served.” And we are certainly getting our fair share these days! He’s a comedic character, to say the least, but his rationale is refreshing. Politicians seem to believe they know what is best for the rest of us. And the idea that they would vote ObamaCare for us—but not for them—is unconscionable.
