Sarah Palin to Joe Biden: Get a clue

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on November 2, 2009 at 6:46 pm

Sarahcuda strikes again (via Gateway Pundit):

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Monday responded to Vice President Joe Biden’s comments about her support for Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman in a hotly contested special election.

Biden appeared at a Monday rally for Democratic candidate Bill Owens, during which he attacked conservative leaders such as Palin, Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R), Dick Armey and Fred Thompson for supporting Hoffman in the upstate New York special election that has attracted widespread national attention.

The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin thinks the answer to energy is ‘drill, baby, drill,’ ” said Biden. “It’s a lot more complicated, Sarah!”

Biden’s debate opponent during the 2008 presidential campaign fired back.

“There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Here’s what else she said at FB:

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

Ouch.

Say it ain’t so, Joe!

That was a real blast from the past! Let’s go to Biden’s neighborhood…..okay, first we have to find it out there in the rural areas of Delaware hidden away in a sweet little personal compound….highly secure, too. But, hey, he’s just one of the little people! He can say where he’s come from and how folksy he is, but in reality the guys about as elitist as they get.

What a buffoon! I hope the conservatives come out in droves tomorrow, vote in Hoffman and shuts the mouth of this guy…of course, you have to get past the foot that is permanently installed there.

Biden is an absolut moron. I call him BO life insurance.

Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil,

It’s not just that. Leftists like Duh-1 and Duh-2 didn’t utter a peep when plans for wind power generation were scrapped because the turbines would spoil the view at Ted Kennedy’s estate. And as for the safest and cleanest form of energy production – nuclear – they’re all in favor of it. FOR IRAN. For America, no way.

Liberals are all for more energy production, right up until the time someone actually has a plan to provide it, whether it be a pipeline, a reactor, or a clean coal mine. Then they find any excuse to sue or otherwise oppose the plan.

If liberals really believed drilling was so harmful to the environment, they’d complain about ALL drilling, including Brazilian. If liberals really thought nuclear power was so dangerous, they wouldn’t be offering to help the Mullahs develop it. The fact that they’re perfectly happy for anyone except America to drill or build is proof enough of their hypocrisy. There are only two sensible explanations. Either they’re modern-day technophobic Luddites who want to destroy our standard of living, or they’re completely detatched from reality. Or both.

Hey Joe ! “Stupid Baby, Stupid !”

I need help finding a link. I saw an article recently that referenced large solar array project that was stopped because environmentalist feared for the safety of a tortoise. What are we suppose to do Joe. We can not drill. We can not build a nuclear plane, We can not install wind farms. We can not install solar arrays.

Joe and the other ‘greedy kings’ want to starve the goose because it has an environmental impact. When the goose dies where will they get their golden eggs?

  7. Dr.D says:

Sarah Palin can take Joe Biden to the cleaners any day of the week! He trips over his own tongue regularly, and she is one sharp cookie too boot, so it really is a very unfair competition (although it is fun to watch!).

“Either they’re modern-day technophobic Luddites who want to destroy our standard of living, or they’re completely detatched from reality. Or both.”

GWR, the third alternative is that they are deliberately dismantling the country one chunk at a time, on purpose, with malice aforethought.

Not an appetizing alternative and I personally believe that is what it is, but I’m convinced that only their own hubris can prevent them from accomplishing it at this point. And that is a scary thought because if they ever get to a point where they figure that out you can sit on the ground, bend forward as far as you can and kiss your butt goodbye.

And I thought Al Gore was a loser when they had to write the dialogue for him!

  10. Great White Rat says:

John, is this the solar array project you’re talking about?

…energy companies have targeted the expansive Mojave Desert on the Nevada-California border as an emerging hub of solar energy development.

The area includes millions of acres of undeveloped, federally managed land that receives high solar intensity year-round. But the Mojave Desert is also home to a wide array of wildlife, including desert tortoises and rare plants like the Rusby’s desert-mallow, the cave evening primrose and the Mojave milkweed, said Sid Silliman, energy chairman for the Sierra Club’s San Gorgonio Chapter based in Riverside, Calif.

“I think sometimes the perception is the desert is barren, and that’s just not true,” Silliman said. “It’s a very fragile environment, very diverse.”

The potential loss of such habitat is driving new concerns about a proposed solar array for San Bernardino County near the Mojave National Preserve — one of the three NPS sites Jarvis said could be at risk from large-scale solar projects.

Carlos, as far as I’m concerned, destroying the standard of living is tantamount to dismantling the country. Same effect, and you’re right, it is being done maliciously.

  11. JohnFLob says:

Thanks Great White Rat. I believe it is the link I was looking for.

  12. Elektra says:

ha ha ha! My thoughts exactly, Dr D. How Obama’s people reflected and projected so much onto their ‘enemies’ to create such images, I will never fully understand.

  13. Bill says:

We can’t drill for oil from the Gulf of Mexico because the liberals fear those beautiful beaches in Florida might one day suffer an oil spill but they don’t make any noise about Cuba signing contracts with China like crazy to drill for oil off of Cuba’s northern coast, less than 75 miles from Florida.

I’m sure Chinese oil companies will spend countless billions in technology, like American oil companies, to ensure oil is not spilled. After all, China’s number one priority obviously is to make sure they don’t spill oil on Florida beaches. China’s environmental record is spotless. NOT!

Meanwhile, while foreign oil companies suck precious oil from our backyard, we’ll continue to destroy our economy by sending foreign enemies billions of our dollars to ship their oil half-way around the world.

    Brilliant!

  14. Kate says:

Oh, and by the way, they don’t want to use the American Dollar to purchase oil ???? So our money isn’t good enough for the Saudis, either.

Doncha think that qualifies for a good reason to drill, baby, drill, Mr. Biden?

  15. Carlos says:

Kate, there’s not a reason in the world good enough for Sloe Joe to change his mind about drilling. It is in his personal constitution to do whatever it takes to make this a third-rate, third world country, to get as much material wealth as possible while he’s on this earth, and to keep as many of his boss’ people and blue collar workers “down on the plantation” ’cause if they ever get a clue there’ll be a new revolution (hopefully starting with his fabulous spread).

But other than that, he’s all for us average, working Americans, doncha know?
