Panthers at the Saints (UPDATE: PANTHERS LOSE 30-20)

Posted by: Sister Toldjah on November 8, 2009 at 12:01 pm

Panthers logoWell, it’s the Panthers’ turn to try and stop the Saints’ unbeaten streak, which now stands at 7. The Cats are 3-4, and would like nothing better than to capitalize on last week’s big “team of old” win over the Cardinals, as a win today would take them to the .500 mark for the first time this year. Playing away makes it all the more tough, and the Saints are hard to beat (the Falcs came close last week but no cigar) but when picking football teams to win on Sundays my heart always wins out so I’m picking DelhommeCo. to upset the Saints for their first loss.

Game time is at 4:05 ET and will be broadcast on Fox.

What games do you have your eye on today?

Update – 7:11 PM: After a solid first half, the Panthers slowly collapsed in the second half as the Saints came back from a 14 point deficit to win 30-20.

The Niners take on Tennessee today, and it’s a game we should win. VY played well last week, but now there’s a week’s worth of film on him, and we have a pretty good defense.

I’ll also be watching Cowboys-Iggles tonight. Given my opinion of each team, is there any way they both can lose? :">

  2. Tango says:

….watching the Cards eat da bares lunch for ‘em at the moment – a very lopsided contest just before the half it is 28-7. Who’da thunk?

    Go Panters! b-)

  3. Anthony says:

Well, the Panthers may have a lousy season overall, but there’s something to be said for being a giant-killer: Panthers 14, Saints 0.

Ya coached a good game, ST. ;)

  4. NC Cop says:

Giants/San Diego. This may determine the Giants season. IF they go into the bye week at 6-3, they may very well get things turned around.

If they go into the bye week at 5-4, then I would look for the collapse to continue.

  5. I’m getting worried now. This is when the Saints are at their most dangerous – when they’re behind. They’ve slowly crept back in to this game …

  6. LC Gregory says:

Dang – sure wish I could get that game here. In the DC area it’s the Giants / Chargers snoozer, and NOTHING on Fox. Yuck.

Well, okay – not Nothing. They had some bowling earlier. Wheeeee.

  7. LC Gregory says:

Please disregard my last. This Giants game is actually pretty good – and I’m sick of seeing the Saints win. ;)

  8. Anthony says:

You can blame me for the loss, ST. For some bizarre reason, I thought 14-0 was the final. Thus, I cursed the team. :(

Oh, jeez, the Titans are kicking our tails. We truly stink. :((

  9. Anthony, sounds like there are tears in both our beers this weekend! :(

  10. NC Cop says:

If they go into the bye week at 5-4, then I would look for the collapse to continue.

    And so it goes………:(

:) Well there is one bright side to all of this!! The Saints are still undefeated. :D – Lorica
