Live video stream of President Obama’s visit to Charlotte (PM UPDATE: PHOTO/VIDEO LINKS ADDED)

Local station WCNC has a live video stream of President Obama’s upcoming speech he will give here in Charlotte, which will presumably happen sooner rather than later.

I’m not able to get away from work obligations to attend today’s local Tea Party festivities, unfortunately, but I’ll make sure to scan around some local sites later today and tonight to post any photos/videos I can find of the Tea Partiers greeting our celebrity President as he visits a state and a city whose enemployment rate is nothing to hold up as a shining example to the rest of the nation.

BTW, I’m Tweeting Obama’s visit here.

Update – 1:52 PM: News14 Charlotte has a short video of the Tea Party protesters greeting Obama earlier today. The Observer reports that it was a small group, around 50 (not surprising, since it’s a workday). The Observer also has a few photos and video of the Tea Partiers from today.

The takeaway quote from O’s speech for me? “If we hadn’t spent what we have over the last year, we’d be even worse off.” If that’s not the classic modern day liberal justification to a T for a massive spending frenzy, I don’t know what is.
