Epic Fail: Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) tries to provide Constitutional basis for ObamaCare

It’s a question that should be asked at every single debate between now and election day:

Do you believe there is a Constitutional basis for ObamaCare? If so, please explain.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) tried to answer the question when it came from a constituent at a recent debate, and failed miserably. Can’t wait to see the rest of Founding Bloggers’ report on the debate between the lady who is perhaps the biggest proponent of single payer health care in the House and her IL-9 Republican oppenent Joel Pollak.

And people like Jan Schakowsky hold power right now? Comparing her intellectual capacity to a brick would be unfair….to the brick. The inanimate object would win hands down.

Jan Schakowsky…seems like I’ve heard that name before and even blogged about her. Oh yes. That would be the same Jan Schakowsky who has been a fanatical supporter of the CPSIA, a piece of legislation which has done great harm to many small businesses. Schakowsky also wrote an unbelievably arrogant letter to a businesswoman who dared to raise concerns about the legislation. Wow, she was in an awful hurry to get away from the camera. I guess they don’t like the Michael Moore Treatment, but in this case she had good reason to run. She had no idea of the constitutional powers bestowed on congress.

Just because we did this and just because we already did that? Are we basing all congresses actions based on prior legislation that the judiciary allowed? I guess, so. Oligarchy time folks.

Now, be fair. It’s difficult to know how something is Constitutional when one has no idea what the Constitution means.

We just need to use the tactics that the left used to get enough Supremes to pass Roe v Wade; get out and chant “Our Bodies, Our Selves!” If they want to use judicial precedent, we cite privacy as a reason that mandated government health care is unconstitutional.
