Independence Day might be over, but that doesn’t stop any of us from continuing to feel patriotic! Enjoy the vid:

From the description at YouTube:

5pm on July 1st, 2011 in Orleans, Cape Cod, MA, shoppers stocking up for the 4th of July got a surprise shot of patriotism to start their weekend! This flash mob was organized by http://www.SpiritofAmericaband.org to wish everyone a happy 4th of July!

God bless ‘em!

Great! Now others with musical talent can get together and bring joy and beauty to their local communities. It is also a good way to socialize with like minded people on a good project. Every high school has a band and usually a chorus but only a few can make a living on their music. Most earn their money in something else but there is room in their life for things not related to making a buck.

That made me smile. I noted that the older folks were the ones clapping in time to the music. There may be hope for this country yet.

I love these things. I’ve only witnessed them on blogs and emails, but one thing that pleases me is that they have always been religious in nature (Christmas hymns as opposed to non-religious Christmas songs) and now patriotic. That’s a good thing.
